"Who knew the boy who never talks could be so sociable?"Asher and I were walking side by side and we're heading to Em's Café. I couldn't stop worrying about getting home, I hope I don't get another beating, i would have to make up an excuse..but what should I say? Would Miles believe me? Ohhhhh no, this will go horribly wrong. Shit. Shit. Shit. Maybe I could go to the bathroom and sneak through the window? No... uhhh I'll just figure it out later. I signed in defeat.
I look at Asher, his soft looking hair moving around with the wind that it became messy. He looked like a complete goofball. Nope, not ditching him.
He fixed his hair quickly and then turned to me with a raised eyebrow. I look away, a blush tinting my cheeks. Caught. I could've sworn I've seen somewhat of a smirk on his face. Bastard.
It was silent but it wasn't a uncomfortable silence. It's was a calm silence.
I looked at him again, but cautiously this time. I would not get caught, I thought determined. His hair was a cinder black and his eyes were green like emeralds. His skin was pale and he had a...lip piercing. God it looked great on him. I bit my lip. Did I..Did I Just actually bite me lip. No.. Bad Amber! I snapped out of my thoughts and eventually went back to reality. He wasn't bad looking he was actually.....handsome. I looked a bit closer not so close that he'd notice. I gasped. He had some long eyelashes... like long amazing...eyelashes.
He turned to me with a questioning look as to why i gasped. "I dislike you now," I huff and turn away from him.
"Why is that?" he smiled, but it was a confused smile.
"Why couldn't I have eyelashes like you?! They are so long and nice, I was blessed with hairless eyelids. No fair," I pouted.
He coughed to hide a laugh, his eyes were filled with amusement. "H-Hairless eyelids? Pfffttt." He tried not to laugh at it.
"Whatever, I still dislike you," I declared.
"Fine with me," he says as he regain his seriousness again.
We soon arrived at the café. He opened the door for me. "T-thank you." I smiled at him.
"You're welcome." He gave me back a small smile.
I grabbed my wallet out of my bag. He puts his hand on my shoulder "I'll pay, it's my treat." Sigh.
"No, no, I'll pay for myself" I protest.
"I'm not letting you pay." He says and takes my wallet.
"Hey! That's my wallet!" He holds it over my head and looks at me sternly. "No money will be coming out of this wallet," he explains to me as if talking to a child. "And it's my treat" He adds.
"Give it back Ash!" I jump and try to get it.
He smirks and whispers in my ear, "You're causing a scene," he pauses, letting his warm breath fan over my ear, "Amy," he snickers.
I look around and notice people staring at me. I squeak and turn around bright red and pull my hood over my head to hide my face.
He chuckles and grabs my arms to slowly pull them away from my face, but I keep my eyes closed.
"Boo."
I jump and open my eyes to glare at his obnoxious grinning face. Suddenly, a sharp pain was driven up my side. I let out a wince.
"Ugh," I held the side of my stomach. He looks at me with concern.
"Are you okay?" He asked as I lean against him. He curls his arms around my waist to support me.
