Previously: "Did it involve Miles? Or did it involve me? Whatever it is I hope it's a good decision."I look at my phone. 7:04 pm. Lord, please get me through this day.
I got up, grabbed my stuff and started to head down stairs. I snuck down stairs and saw Miles sleeping on the couch. Thank the gods.
I walked out of the house and started to head to school. Few minutes later. I arrived at school and headed to my locker with my hood over my head. Trying to avoid Asher even though we have 1st period together. Why you ask? Because I owe him the truth, but I'm too much of a coward to tell him.
I walked into first period and took my seat as class began. I don't make eye contact with Asher but I can feel his gaze on me. I shift in my seat uncomfortable, but I still don't make eye contact.
I glare at the ticking clock as if glaring at it would make time pass faster. I roll my eyes at my stupid antiques. Can't this class just end? I rested my head on my desk, more like banged it. Owieee
"You had one job Amber and that was to go through the day successfully instead of banging your head on a damn desk". I muttered under my breath.
I looked up to see if anyone saw that, my blood rushing up my neck to the cheeks of my face. I glanced at Asher who was stuffing his fist into his mouth to stop himself from laughing.
Of course he saw.

I quickly rushed to the cafeteria, silently thanking the lord that most of my classes were done and that I didn't bump into Asher. That last bit actually surprised me. I know that he'd be a person with a strong will-power.
I went and sat at my table, dumping the tower of textbooks onto it. I stared at the stack of supplies on the table. Did I just carry all of that for 10 periods? I sigh, no wonder my arms are aching.
Suddenly, I hear another person place their load onto my table as well. I look up to see a girl with fare skin and freckles with long red hair.
She was very pretty. She had eyebrows that any girl would kill for, full, plump lips, and high cheek bones that made up her heart-shaped face. She was short and...well...let's just say she was very, very curvy.
"Hello." She greets, flashing me her white pearls. "Hi...?" I said, wondering if she was actually talking to me.
"I'm Scarlet, I just transferred here 2 days ago and I'm having a moving in party. I was wondering if you wanted to come?" she asked.
At first I was shocked that she was asking me out of all people. I really wanted to go, but I had no one to go with. "I would love to, but I don't have anyone to go with." I say sadly, deciding to voice my thought.
She smiled, "Great! You can accompany me then! Although it is my party, well, my brother's party, I barely know anyone here. I don't have anyone either, so we can stick together."
I thought about it for a moment. What about Miles though? I became agitated by the thought of Miles. He always ruins everything. Maybe if I beg him, he'll be merciful and let me go.
"I'll see if I can go," I say with a new-found source of hope.
She smiled brightly. "I hope we can become great friends Amber! Call me if you can come and I'll text you the address," she says as she puts her number in my phone.
"M-me too and thanks." I reply.
She walks off, I lean back in my chair and play around with my food. Great, something else to have anxiety about. Whoopee! I think sarcastically.
