"I know."

This is not good. Not good at all.

He knows. He knows. He knows.

"Asher let go of me!" I demanded, trying to break free from his hold.

Silence.

"Asher! Miles is gonna kill me!" I yell.

"Will you tell me?" he asks.

I look around helplessly, "I don't know, maybe, yes. I'll tell you, but not now."

"Will he do anything?" Asher asks, he stares into my eyes, still holding me.

"Who? Miles?" I ask. Of course he meant Miles. "I'll make up a lie. Now please, let me go.'

He let go of my waist and I ran to my house which was luckily only a couple blocks away.

I approached my front door and opened it slowly. There was no sign of Miles anywhere.

I shut the door very quietly and tried to tip toe up to my room.

"Where have you been?" A husky voice asked from behind me.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and turned around.

"I stayed after school for an activity. It was to support some type of fund-raiser or something." I lied and look at him.

"Don't lie to me girl." He said as he took a big gulp of his beer.

"I'm not sir." I gave him direct eye contact trying to avoid the mistake from earlier. I gulped.

"Why don't you come and eat some dinner?" He suggested. " I bet you're hungry."

"N-not really." I reply.

"Well that's a shame. Now get your ass in your room and stay there!" He shouts.

I flinched and head to my room and shut the door. I put my back against the door and slid down to the floor.

"That..was a close one." I sigh in relief. I hugged my knees to my chest and sat there.

"I bet" A voice said. I jump ten feet in the air, only to see a cinder haired boy with a lip ring who reading one of the books on my nightstand while laying in my bed, smirking at me. I glared at him and then sighed and ran my hand down my tired face. "Why? Why am I even surprised?" Cuz you know, breaking in someone's room and acting like they own it isn't weird at all," I glare at him, once again.

"How are you not even worried about be quiet, they may hear you, ya know. I climbed in through your window and I came here to check on you," He replied in a hush tone.

I rolled my eyes. "Just leave Asher." I say as I turn my back to him.

"Give me your phone." He demanded.

"No,"I say stubbornly. Then I became curious. I turned back over to him, "Why?"

He sighs. "So I can put a tracking device and follow you everywhere." He says sarcastically. "What do you think?"

"Ugh fine." I hand him my phone and he goes to my contacts info in.

"Here." He hands me back my phone. "Asher ;)".
