Chapter 8~ Adrenaline and Feelings

Ambers P.O.V

"Did I ask you to?" I say with a bit of bite in my tone.

"Well considering you exclaim no one cares about you I would say yes." I looked at him, I was taken aback by his words.

He looks down and laughs. I look at him with confusion. Before He leave He whispers something in my ear.

"Hope you have with Miles." He says in sickening sweet tone.
My eyes widen and I look at him with disbelief. He ignores my gesture and bumped into my shoulder on purpose and walked
to the window. He gives me one last glance before he left and I just looked at him with
Disgust and udder shock.

I never wanna see or talk to
Him again!

As soon as Asher left I was to tired to cry anymore. I was exhausted. Today was hectic... For sure. I laid down in my bed and looked and the ceiling.

I just wanted to curl up into a ball and die. I don't wanna
Cry. I don't wanna be weak.
I don't wanna be defenseless. I don't wanna be... me.

The last part lingered in my mind. I don't wanna be me.

My eyes started to get heavy. I started to slowly drift off and-

I heard a door slam downstairs. I jumped.

I heard loud foot steps coming up the stairs.

It went quiet. I was afraid of what was about to go down.

I go under my covers and hid. I was practically shaking at this point.

Then I heard the foot step descend. I lift the cover over my head and peak out.

I relaxed and let my shoulders fall. In that moment everything happened so fast I didn't even see it coming.

Miles opened my door and hopped on top of me and he put his hands around my throat.

His hands were grasping at my throat, leaving me without air.

I clawed my fingers at his hands uselessly, My lungs started to ache and my eyes were bulging.

The hands continue to squeeze, stopping my breath short.

His eyes burned with emptiness and anger as my lungs burned with even more pain.

My mind grew hazy. I heard his voice faint In the background.

"This is all your fault Kim left, ALL YOURS." He said with so much anguish.

"I should just kill you!"

My eyes started to close I felt myself losing consciousness.

Is this it for us? Are you just gonna let us die? I thought.

I used the little bit of strength I had left to escape from his grip. I raised my leg as hard and as fast as I can and kneed Miles in between his leg. I gasped for air.

He groaned in pain. I quickly pushed him off me and I made it to the staircase and tripped. I stumbled down the stairs.

I quickly scattered to my feet and tried to run out the door. Miles shut the door before I could leave. I took a couple steps back.
