*Rylie's POV*

This was incredibly strange for me at the moment. I mean I've never driven this far by myself before. Sure I knew how far it was before today but it obviously seemed a lot less than it actually was. I had stopped numerous times on the way, to check in with my parents and let them know I was okay and everything. Before I had driven into the actual state of California, I had called Daniella to let her know how things were going. The phone rang a few times before she actually picked up.

'Hello?' Daniella's perky voice rang through the phone.

'Hey, uh I'm like almost getting into California." I told her looking at my surroundings. I had pulled off to the side of a highway.

'Oh my god I'm so fucking excited to see you! When do you think you'll be here by?"

I checked the time on my dashboard, it read 10:00. It was the next morning, because I had pulled over to sleep for the night.

'I should be there in about 4 hours, actually!'

She squealed from excitement.

'You're almost here oh my god! Hey, if you wanna get to know everyone there's actually gonna be a big party on the beach tomorrow night. I could introducve you to my friends and everything!' She said hopefully.

'That sounds great,' I smiled. 'I haven't been to a party in ages.'

'Yay! Well I'll let you get back to driving now, I'll see ya soon! Drive safe! Love you!'

'Love you too.'

I hung up and plugged my phone into my car's speaker, playing my spotify playlist. Teenagers by My Chemical Romance came on and I raised it as loud as it could go before starting up my car and pulling onto the highway.

About 4 hours later I pulled onto Daniella's street, eyeing her house quicky and pulling in front of it. I beeped my horn and looked to the door to see an excited Daniella greeting me. She jumped up and down and waved frantically. I grabbed my purse and walked out of the car, my legs wobbly from being in the car for so long. I almost stumbled to the front door where I was pulled into a bear hug.

"You're here, you're here! I've been waiting for ages!" she pulled away from the hug and placed her hands on my shoulders. "How was the drive you must be exhausted oh god well Luke and some of his friends moved your stuff up to your room so you wont have to worry they did it easily I mean it would've been easier if Michael helped but he didn't-"

"Dani, breathe!" I giggled as I cut her off. She was so excited I felt like she could talk me to death, and I'd probably let her later, but I just wanted to get settled right now.

"Sorry! I'm just so happy you're here." She hugged me again, even tighter this time. When she pulled away, she turned and opened the door for me, and I followed her into her living room. As we walked in her TV was on, and there was a tall blonde boy sitting on the sofa watching it.

"Hey Luke, this is Rylie, my friend I've been telling you about. Rylie, this is my boyfriend Luke." He stood up off of the couch, towering above me. He reached his hand out and shook mine, giving me a small smile.

"How was the drive out here? You must be extremely tired. You came from, Texas was it?" He asked me. He had a deep voice, and a think Australian accent, just like Calum did. The thought of Calum reminded me that I had to call him, I had texted him a few times on the drive over, but I had promised him I'd call once I got here.
