It was nice of Tamsin to invite us all to her bachelorette party. We'd been sent the invitation a day or so prior with explicit instructions of what we were to tell everyone where we were going. I didn't like hiding things, but this sounded like so much fun and it would give me a chance to speak with Tamsin in regard to the pains I'd been feeling recently.
Annika, Evicka, Arlynn, and I approached the...
...DV8 Strip Club. Well, the new one anyway as the old one had been burnt to the ground. I tried to keep my mind off of things, each time I wrapped my head around a different memory, it came back tenfold. The place looked genuinely nice, the renovations keeping the old charm while adding a new feeling at the same time.
As Arlynn, Annika, and Evicka approached the bouncer, they were waved right in after saying we were here for Tamsin. When they entered inside the building, I couldn't help but stand still in my tracks, gazing up at the new neon flashing sign. Something new and something old still brought out my roots of the way this place held a sanctuary feeling for when I was lost.
Once I'd snapped out of my trance, I made my way through the doors, and immediately my breath was taken away. Everything was so brand new I could still smell some of that distinct scent. The bar was still on the left when you first walked into the main entryway, the lounge area consisting of couches and chairs littered the nice nook and open spaces to the right side of the building. Many small stages were set up around the lounge area, but it looks like they ordered a new main stage because it's almost exactly where the old had been.
When I walked by the bar, the air caught in my lungs when I'm almost taken aback at the sight of Salana. Once a coworker of mine, it appeared she was obviously not dancing tonight, stopping a drink mid-pour. Her eyes met with mine and she held the same surprising regard for me as I did her. The drop of her jaw is what made me look away, avoiding her while huddling closer to the group of vampires I'd come with.
As we walked closer to the end of the entryway, I caught sight of Celestia speaking with...oh my god, it's Brice.
The DV8 owner, Brice, appeared to be kicking it and acting really chummy with Celestia. They appeared to be speaking among themselves about one thing or another. As we approached, Brice caught sight of me, the look on his face about ready to flip his lid. His features held so many questions for me, but none I wanted to answer now or ever for that matter.
Brice was about ready to approach me, taking one step away from Celestial when the stage lit up with multicolored lights. Everyone's attention was drawn to the woman now occupying the stage, walking to the center before she grabbed the mic from the stand. In the next moment, the music faded away into the background, a wild look on the woman's eyes as she parted her lips to speak.
The woman cleared her throat and began with, "For those of you who don't know me, I'm Ellysian! Alright, so...I'm not here to give a speech because fuck that, we're here to party!"
"Just to make to be clear...your men think you're sipping on tea right now in," She emphasized, "the devil's house. And our lovely, to be wedded, gal is at a doctor's appointment with a nonexistent vampire pregnancy dude."
