Chapter 10 - Helpful Little Spinarak

(FLINT'S POV)

I awoke to a green spider-like Pokemon on top of me. "What the hell?" I grunted, throwing the spider Pokemon off me. I stood up, and stretched. "Excuse me, sir..." The Spinarak began. "Can't talk, I have to find a Braxien." I growled. The Spinarak's eyes widened. "I saw her get taken away. You must be Flint." He said. "I'm Spince." I nodded. "Well, Spince, can you show me the way?" I asked. He nodded, but then replied, "But first, let's eat. Your going to need a lot of energy fighting off the Delphox kidnapper." Spince said. Shit, who knows how she's doing?!?! I thought. I realized it was a good idea to eat, if I was going up against a Delphox. I walked over to my food stockpile, and tossed him a few Oran Berries. Spince slowly ate them. I grabbed some Pecha Berries, and popped them in my mouth. When we were done eating, Spince spoke up. "You ready?" He asked. "Damn right I am." I growled. Spince smiled. "Follow me then." I nodded, as he led me into the forest.

It was an incredibly long walk. Spince kept me busy by reassuring me Flame was alright. He led me into a small clearing, in the middle was a wooden hut. "In there." Spince said. He handed me Oran berries. "Eat them, you'll need the health." He advised. I nodded, and ate the berries. I felt powered. I grinned. I flexed my fists and prepared for a fight. "I'm coming with you, to assist." He said. I looked down at him. He looked excited, and nervous. "Fine, but don't hit Flame." I replied. He jumped up and down. I came up with a plan in my head. "Alright, you go in first, and act lost. Drag the Delphox out, so I can save Flame. Got it?" I said. He nodded. "By drag out do you mean String Shot or like, have him help me?" Spince asked. "Have him help you. Don't let Flame help you." I said. He nodded. "Alright, let's do this!" I exclaimed.

Spince walked off towards the wooden hut. I heard a female scream from inside, followed by a loud male growl. I heard Spince talking inside, and it moved into position. I ran and jumped onto the roof, thankfully not making a sound. I sensed out for auroras. I sensed the male. Pink and black. I also sensed for Flame. Pure black. I grew worried. What was she scared about? "C'mon you look like you've been here longer, help me find my hive!" Spince shouted. The male growled. "Please?" Spince said. "Fine." The male growled. They walked outside. I waited about 3 minutes, before jumping down into the hut. "Flame!" I said, running up to her. "Flint, y-you c-came..." Flame said, tears coming out of her eyes. "Come on, let's get you out of here." I didn't wait for an answer. I grabbed her, and lifted her into my arms, and ran out. She buried her face into me. I looked down. "Sh, it's all okay now." I soothed. She looked up at me, and gave a little smile, before crying into me some more. I kept running as fast as I could.

I finally made it to our home. I set Flame down on the bed, and lied down next to her. She turned to me, and cuddled next to me. I put my arm around her. I kissed her forehead. She smiled. Her tear-stained eyes stared into mine. "The Spinarak helped you, didn't he?" She asked. "Yeah, I had no idea where you were, and apparently he did..." I replied. I kinda felt ashamed of what I was saying. She rested her head on my chest. I smiled. Everything, I hope, was back to normal. Flame drifted off to sleep. For once in the past day, I felt relaxed. I was about to fall asleep, when there was a rustling in a nearby bush. Spince came out. "I led him into a Combee hive. Guy got stung hard." He had a devious grin on his face. "Good job Spince." I smirked. "Everything is great now." Spince nodded, and walked away. I rested my arm around the sleeping Flame, and held her close to me. I drifted off into sleep.

(Flames POV)

Silver kissed me. I pushed him away and pressed my back hard against the wall. I desperately shot attacks at him, but he was scolded and dodged all off them. He pointed at me and tsked several times. "Your mine now." He growled. I let out a ear piercing scream for help. Suddenly a small Spinark appeared at the door. Silver growled and walked up to the pokemon. I look at the Pokemon with pleading eyes. I heard Silver and the Spinark mutter a few things, and then Silver walked off, shooting me a glance that froze me in place. I waited several minutes for Silver to return, but instead of Silver walking through the hut door, it, it was Flint! "Flame!" He half screamed, running toward me. "Flint, y-you c-came..." I managed to say. I let out a long sigh. "Come on, let's get you out of here." He said quickly. He immediately scooped me into his arms bridal style and ran out of the little wooden hut. I was scared, confused, and happy all at the same time. I buried my face into Flints chest, and let all my tears roll down my cheeks. "Sh, it's all okay now." Flint soothed. I looked up to give him a weak smile before burying my head back in his chest.

After a long walk I felt us come to a stop. I looked around to see we were back home. I let out a long sigh. Flint gently set me onto the bed and lied down next to me. I realized how tired I was, and how much energy I used. It felt good to be lying down. Chills still flowed through my body at the thought of Silver. I curled up next to Flint, as he put his arm around me. He gently kissed me on my forehead. I stared into his eyes with my own tear-stained ones. I thought for a second. "The Spinarak helped you, didn't he?" I asked. He tensed up a bit. "Yeah, I had no idea where you were, and apparently he did..." He replied. He looked down in shame. Maybe that was the wrong thing to say.. The day seemed to drag down on me. I set my head onto his chest and slowly fell asleep.
