Chapter 6 - Is That You?
(Flame's POV)
I woke up to the sun pouring down, blinding me. I looked to my side, expecting to see Flint. I sighed when I didn't, and a flow of tears ran down my cheeks. When I fianlly stopped I whipped my tears off and stood up, my legs shaking. I stumbled off toward to the town, falling every so often. People stared, some pulled out a pokeball to try and catch me, but a little bit of flames stopped them. I missed Flint. It seems obvious that I do. A little voice in the back of my head said he was still alive, but the rest said he died. I wasn't even paying attention and almost ran into a route sign. "Route 7" I read. I walked on, not really knowing were I go. I battle a few pokemon, trying my best to cheer them up, no use. "Haha." I smirked at the fainted Butterfree. I didn't want to be mean, but it was hard to avoid. Again, a few trainers stared, but this time, a little physhic power stopped them. The sun reached it's highest point in the light blue sky. I laughed at the other sweating pokemon and walked on, killing anything that stood in my way. That's when it sunk in. I had no one left. No one at all. I stopped and looked around. The trees gently swayed in the breeze, almost like there were dancing. Pokemon ran around the tall grass battling trainers left and right. I felt like I couldn't move, paralyzed by fear. After a while I fianlly moved, walking on toward to next town
I spotted a small city in front of me, with people running around, taking calls and carrying briefcases. I heard footsteps from behind me. I turned around to see none other then Flint, looking at the ground. I started to run up to him, but a Lucario girl that just "happened" to be there, looked over at me, jogged up to him and kissed him. I froze. Then I sprinted through the city, tears streaming down my face. I found him yes, but he moved on. I ran, cutting cornors of a long allyway. Finally, I reached the end. A cliff was at the end, with no water at the bottom, just the cold hard ground. I sucked in a breath and closed my eyes. I should move on too. I jumped off the cliff plunging through darkness. The sharp wall of the cliff left me with cuts and bruises before I even hit the ground. I saw a blue figure dash down the cliff, saving me. The impact of me landing in his arms knocked the breath out of me, but saved me from certain death. I looked up to be staring into Mega Lucarios eyes. Flint's eyes. "Flame." he whispeared to me. He leaned down and kissed me, at the bottom of the cliff. Once he pulled away he looked at me with a spark of light in his eyes. "I promise, its not what it seems like." Flint said. I rembered why I jumped of the cliff in the first place. I tried to scramble out of his arms, but my whole body hurt, making it impossible to move. "That Lucario is a liar. I met her in the forest and asked her to help me find you. I was lonely and needed someone to talk too. To help me be comforted. She said to just move on, but I couldn't. I learned she wanted me to herself. She kissed me to keep you away. She knew I didn't see you." I" he took a breath and sighed, looking straight into my eyes.
(Flint's POV)
I was walking around the burnt forest. I had to find that pond again. Nearly instantly, I found the pond. An object in the center was still glowing. I dived in, and grabbed it. I realized it was two stones and grabbed them both. I swam up to the surface, gasping for breath. I paddled out of the pond, and onto the bank. I looked down at what I had found. One was a small stone, that fit into a pocket in my fur. The other wasn't a stone at all! It was a bracelet with a symbol on it. I knew this immediately, this was a Mega-Stone activator, and what I had put in my fur was a Mega-Stone. Hopefully it was for Lucarios. I pressed on the ring, and it put me inside a pink ball. I started to see pink lights coming out of me. The pink ball burst, and I looked down at my new form. I was a Mega-Lucario. I wanted to change back. After nearly an hour of trying, it wouldn't change me back. I put the bracelet into my fur pocket, and walked into a part of the forest that was untouched by the fire.
It was a dense forest, and a lot of the Pokemon from the burnt forest section were here. It reminded me of Flame, and I wondered if she was here. I loved her, and I didn't want to be alone without her. I was walking, wondering where Flame could be. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I saw another Lucario. I thought I was a rare Pokemon for this forest. But there in front of me, was a female Lucario. "Hi, have you seen a Braxien, maybe Delphox around here?" I asked it. "Why hello there, my name is Coy. And no, I haven't seen one." Coy replied. "Can you help me look?" I asked sternly. "My name is Flint." "Sure, I'll help." It responded quickly. As soon as she finished her sentence, her aurora glowed pink. Pink... Love... Uh-oh.
After weeks of searching, I decided to look in the cities. Maybe Flame took refuge there. I was looking at the ground when we entered the city. Coy was nice, and kept me company. But I was lonely, and missed Flame dearly. I was trying to sense for Flame's familiar aurora, but all the humans were blocking my seeking. Suddenly, Coy jogged up to me and kissed my check. I was confused. I knew it was going to happen at one point. She loved me. But then, I sensed sadness I front of me. I looked up, and saw a flash of yellow and orange and red run away. I growled at Coy, and threw an Aura Sphere at her feet. It must of hurt, because she didn't move for a long time. I ran for Flame. I had her aurora on lock. I needed to tell her it was a mistake.
I found her in an alleyway cliff. I had to save her, her aurora told me all I needed. She was going to jump. I felt me feet tingle. I ran, faster than ever. Extreme Speed. I didn't make it I time and she jumped. But my new form gave my feet traction, and I ran on the side of the cliff. She was bumping into the wall of the cliff, scraping her. I caught here halfway down the cliff, and jogged down to the foot of the cliff. "Flame..." I whispered. I was sad, she nearly killed herself. I leaned down to kiss her. I pulled away after a good minute. "I promise it isn't what it looks like. Let me explain." I said. She struggles to get out of my arms, but with a new form comes new strengths. I was able to hold her. "That Lucario is a liar. I met her in the forest and asked her to help me find you. I was lonely and needed someone to talk too. To help me be comforted. She said to just move on, but I couldn't. I learned she wanted me to herself. She kissed me to keep you away. She knew I didn't see you." I said, crying. I sighed. I looked into her eyes, and let her down.
