Lauren's POV
It was another boring work day at Starbucks. I always feel like I'm doing the same thing everyday. Taking orders, forcing a smile, receiving money, giving back change etc. You might think that working as a cashier at Starbucks would be easy, but it's a lot harder than you think. Do you know how many times I had to deal with grumpy zombies walking in every morning for a cup of coffee?
Anyways, right now I was on my break and my coworker Andy was taking over. I noticed that the customer looked rather uncomfortable so I decided to go over and help them.
"Yo Andy."
"What?" He replied obviously annoyed.
"Boss wants to talk to you." He huffed and headed to the back of the store.
I walked over to the cashier counter and I saw a very beautiful girl about the same age as I am. She had mesmerizing Y/E/C eyes and beautiful silky hair.
"Hey, sorry about him, what can I get for you?" For once I had a smile on my face that was genuine and not forced.
"It's okay, I want the iced white mocha please." She replied with a gorgeous smile.
"Coming right up." (A/N: I know in Starbucks you pay before you get your order but just go with it.)
After I was done making her drink, I walked back to her and handed her the coffee. She noticed the little heart that I drew on the cup and smiled at it.
"Okay that'll be $3.56." She handed me a $20 bill.
"Keep the change."
"I can't it's too much."
"I said keep the change beautiful ."
She replied with a wink. I watched her as she left the store, and I looked down and noticed a piece of paper on top of the $20 bill.
Hey, I just thought you were really beautiful and I was wondering if we could hang out sometime.
I flipped the paper to see if there was anything on the back.

After reading that, I couldn't keep the smile off my face for the rest of the day.
