Taylor's POV

Ring. Ring. Ring

I woke up and reached over to the dresser to unplug my phone from the charger.
"Yeah hello" I answered, "Alright yeah 9am, I'll be there" I hung up and looked at my phone to see that I got a couple of messages and a few missed calls.

Nina: Tay I am really sorry about tonight, I thought hitting her would make me feel better but it didn't and I'm really sorry. Please can you call me back? I miss you.

Marcus: Ay dawg, heard about that Nina thing. Hope you good yo

Mom: Baby don't forget to bring a date, I love you :)

Amber: Hey I got your message yesterday and gave your number to Megan lol I entered it into her phone ;) I know you love me.

Dad: I expect you to be at the house at 8 tomorrow. There's a few things I need to discuss with you.

Throwing my phone on the bed, I rolled my eyes at the last one. My dad was never the type for casual greetings. It was always professional or being mature, do this do that bullshit. Politics, being mayor and the medical community came first before family. That was why him and I never got along with each other and I was fine with that, as long as I have my mother and a brother who understands me. My mother is a bio engineer for god's sake, hell she owns a pharmaceutical company but she always has time for family. I just never really understood my father.
I got up from bed and walked into the bathroom to take a shower. After taking a shower and cleaning myself from yesterdays' alcohol and unwanted substances I walked out only to find Nina sitting on my bed, looking at me.
"Jesus Christ! You scared me. What are you doing in here? Who let you in?"
"Taylor please listen to me" She pleaded.
"Yeah I will, just give me some privacy, I need to change" I looked at her.
"Really Taylor? You never used to have a problem changing with me around before so why now? It's not like I haven't seen anything before" She smirked and arched her left brow.
Frustratingly, I let out a sigh and dropped the towel to reveal my boxers. Walking over to the dresser, I pulled out a black skinny jeans and wore it.
"Here" I looked up and saw her threw a shirt my way. "You always look good in skinny jeans and white tees" She smiled thoughtfully. I wore the white v-neck over my sports bra and walked towards her. Taking her hands in mine, I looked at her, "Nina. I'm sorry about the way I treated you, I was pretending that I was in love with you but in truth I really wasn't and that was before Megan came. Look I want you to move on and find someone better, someone that will treat you better than me coz you deserve the best" I looked into her ocean blue orbs, her tears falling free from it.
After a few more tears, she sucked in a breath, " Taylor I just want you to be happy, tell me, does Megan make you happy?" She exhaled, a few more tears rolling off her cheeks.
"We're not dating and I haven't asked her out yet. But I think I'm in love" I felt tears escape my eyes.
"Nina please I don't want to talk about this if its hurting you", "So you're in love with her" She blinked a tear and smiled at me.
"Possibly. But I want us to stay tight as good friends coz I don't think I can get over your mom's pot roast" She laughed a bit and nodded. I looked at her and pulled her into a tight embrace.
"My mom misses you, you know. She's always asking about you every time I go back home" she smiled.
"Wow. You know what? Let's get coffee" I laughed.
"That is a good idea" she giggled while I slung an arm over her shoulder, walking out.
