When she woke, her body hurt like hell. All her muscles ached and her head pounded mercilessly. A thin ray of light shown through silk curtains surrounding the bed. The silk sheets were soft against her skin, the threads caressing almost. Her bleary eyes blinked, adjusting to the light. Ellie had no clue where she was, or how she got here. All she could remember was the bar, and the devilishly handsome man. It was foggy, distant almost, in her memory.

She was startled when the door opened and someone stepped through. She couldn't really make out the person, the silk shades and lack of light giving no help to her human eyes.

"I see you're awake," the stranger said. The voice was deep and the accent was alluring, it seemed foreign and exotic. It sounded familiar to her ears.

"I-I'm sorry but where exactly am I? I don't remember much, or how I got here?" Ellie spoke softly. The stranger flipped the lights on, but dimmed them so it wasn't an assault on her tired eyes. Ellie caught a better look at the stranger as they passed through the door, moving closer to her. The dark hair and strong jaw, the high cheek bones, this was the man from the bar. One thing that stood out to her were his dark eyes, they seemed almost black. The closer he got, the more she saw his eyes, and soon realized there were streaks of gold running through his eyes, almost like veins pulsing with liquid gold. Ellie was in shock, this beautiful stranger took the very breath from her lungs.

"You passed out. I took the liberty of bringing you to my hotel," He paused, taking a deep breath before continuing with an almost strained tone of voice. "Would you like something to eat? You are very small. Even for a human."

Ellie blushed, looking down at her hands that grasped the sheets tightly. This man gave off an aura of power that was stifling. She could barely look at him, and his voice was so commanding it seemed impossible to try and deny his orders. His face was stoic, unmoving, and his eyes gave nothing away. She was dumbfounded, completely enraptured by him.

"I, well, um yeah. Some food would be nice," She paused, shyly looking up at his eyes, "Who are you?" She whispered.

"I'll have someone bring some soup up." He spoke softly, as though she was a dove that would take flight any moment. He completely ignored her question of his identity. He turned to go, his footsteps light and his body slinking like a creature of the night. When he reached the door, the stranger turned and glanced back at her. His eyes were filled with emotion she couldn't decipher, and with a blink of a eye the emotion was gone and he remained stoic.

He left, and Ellie had no clue what just had happened. All she knew were the many questions floating in her mind.

There was another knock on the door, and this time Ellie answered the door herself. She had gotten up to use the bathroom, but soon found herself snooping about the room. She didn't find much, a bible and some notepads, but she did find a small leather bag containing mens clothing. The grey cotton shirt at the top of the bag smelled divine, even to her human nose. Citrus and pine, with a hint of sage. It was like sex to her nose. Opening the door slightly, she peered out to see who it was. A girl stood with a tray, looking at Ellie inquisitively.

"Can I come in?" The girl asked. Ellie blushed and nodded, quickly opening the door wider for her to enter.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to seem rude," Ellie spoke softly, quietly observing the girl. She was taller than Ellie, but most people were. The girl was certainly a Super, but most likely a lower ranking female. The girl had hair tied up into a bun, black pants and a dark blue sweater on. She wore pearls, but only around her neck. The girl was fit, and the clothing was modest but feminine.

"Who are you?" Ellie asked softly. The girl turned and smiled softly at her.

"I am Ruby, the Queen Luna's personal hand maiden," the girl said. Ellie nodded and looked down. She was curious as to why the Queen Luna would be sending her personal hand maiden in, but didn't voice her question.

"I see," Ellie said slowly. There was a moment of paused were both women regarded one another. Ellie took in Ruby's clean skin and strong stance. Though she knew that Ruby was not high ranking, Ellie was aware at how quickly this woman could take her down. Ellie sighed and Ruby moved over to the tray, taking a silver dome off the tray revealing a plate of fruit, a plate of cheese and meats, and a bowl of soup.

"I hope you will find everything to your standards. If not, dial 0 on the phone and you will be directed to my personal cell. I will have clothes laid out for you soon. Is there anything else I could be of service to for you?" Ruby asked.

Ellie shook her head no, and soon Ruby left with a small click of the door, with only a faint smell of Chanel left in her wake.

Ellie devoured the food as quickly as it came. She couldn't remember the last time food was so exquisite, or the last time it filled her so. After eating she felt in need of a shower, so she made her way to the ensuite. The bathroom was just as fine as the room, with white marble and cream linens. Everything was clean and had a place, which was so different from her normal life. Hoping in the shower she felt all her muscles relax, and her body soon felt like a noodle. After washing, she wrapped herself into a large fluffy white towel. It seemed to drape her whole figure, and Ellie giggled at the thought of a giant living here. It didn't seem so far off, with how big the furniture was and the towels as well.

Ellie left the bathroom with a cloud of steam, and found a set of clothing on the bed waiting for her. A large grey shirt, and black leggings slipped onto her skin easily, the shirt smelling eerily similar to the one she found in the leather bag. As she went to sit down on the couch, a knock on the door pulled her from settling in. Ellie turned just in time to see the stranger from earlier step into the room. His clothing was slightly rumpled, as if he had just been in a fight. The cut on his cheek also gave that idea a solid grounding.

"I see my shirt was put to good use," He spoke softly. Ellie looked down and picked nonexistent dust off the shirt slowly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know this was yours. I'll go take it off now," Ellie rose to move to the closet, but his voice stopped her.

"No, please don't. It looks much better on you than me. How was the food I sent for you?" He asked. Ellie looked up to see his eyes unwavering in there assessment.

"It was very good. Thank you," she spoke softly. He nodded and moved into the room. His hands moved to his shirt, quickly unbuttoning it. Ellie blushed and looked down. Peering up. she saw him smirk at her. Ellie felt all the blood rush to her face, and suddenly she felt the need to change the subject.

"Where am I?" she asked. He looked up at her and before he respond she asked another question, "Why am I here? Also, who are you?" He closed his mouth and looked down.

"Your very curious, aren't you little dove?" Ellie blushed again. "You're in a hotel downtown. You're here because I couldn't very well as leave my mate on the floor of a dingy bar to be attacked by the wolves who lust after her." She was surprised. Did he just say mate?

"But, how can I be your mate? I am a human. This isn't possible?" She whispered. Lower ranking wolves are the only ones that could even mate a human. A regular werewolf would shred the human in half if they tried to mate it, their strength was just too much for humans to handle.

He chuckled and looked over her confused expression. "I don't know how, but I do know that you are mine and I am not letting you go. I've waited very patiently for you, and now that the goddess gave you to me, you are not slipping through my fingers." He moved closer so he stood in front of her. His form towered above her sitting frame, and his fingers reached out to touch her hair. He stroked her hair tenderly, and Ellie sighed as a warmth blossomed in her chest.

"You never answered my third question," she sighed out. He paused, and took a deep breath.

"My name is Leonidas Steele, and I am the next Alpha King."

Ellie fainted again.
