When Ellie awoke a cold, damp cloth was stroking her forehead. Little mummers escaped her lips as she stretched and mewed like a kitten. Leonidas smiled to himself, she was just that, his little kitten. As she settled back down her eyes fluttered open, and she gazed directly into his eyes. For a moment he was lost, completely thrown into the depths of her eyes, he felt like he was sinking in the moonlight. When she broke his gaze a looked around the room, Leonidas felt a need to gaze at her for the rest of his life, he wanted to fall into her eyes and never come out again.
"I thought I was dreaming," she spoke softly. He smiled to himself and cleared his throat. The late sunlight streamed through the silky curtains, softening the barely-there lines of her face, giving a natural glow to her skin. She was so different from the girls he had seen before, clean and natural. While he had no issue with women wearing makeup, he preferred when he could really see them. His wolf was unsettled by the unclear version of a person that makeup created.
"Hmm, no kitten. You were not dreaming," he said. She sat up slowly, her hair crazy. He smiled again at her look - wild. He observed her as she looked around the room, only to have her eyes draw him in again. She smiled lightly and gazed down, feeling caught somehow. Her stomach clenched and she was broken from her emotions as a tidal wave of hunger enveloped her. It briefly crossed her mind her worry about her father, but she couldn't do anything about it now considering where she was. Which was still unknown to her.
"Oh. Well, is there any chance I could have something to eat? An apple or something would work," she trailed off at the end of the sentence. She was hungry again. She watched as his eyebrows rose and his face turned down. He seemed upset by something. Ellie thought it was her spoke quickly again, "I'm sorry, that was rude of me. I am okay, Alpha." she spoke quietly. In her mind, she was reprimanding herself for assuming she had the right to eat. Humans are below every other species, and they always ate last. Always. She watched as his eyebrows shot down at her words, and his eyes darkened. Her heart sped up considerably thinking that he was very angry with her and that she would receive a punishment. Humans got punishment.
He spoke lowly, but assertively to her, "Little kitten, please come here." He said. Ellie slowly got up from the bed and walked the short distance to him, where he was standing near the balcony. She pondered if he was planning to throw her out of the window. What a bad sight she would be, all crumpled on the pavement. When she reached him, she stood in front of him. He looked at her for a few moments, then slowly brought his hand to hers. His dark eyes looked wild with the river of gold running circles around his iris's. The sunlight bathed his face in a golden glow, and Ellie immediately knew he wasn't of this world. There was no way he was not a god, doomed to live on earth. His gentle tug on her hand sent her back to real life, where he was making his way to the chairs in the living room.
The small fireplace had been lit, and Ellie enjoyed the warmth. She was always very small, but not by her choice. Her family didn't have enough to pay rent and the bills and to eat. Sacrifices had to be made. As a result, she was small from malnourishment. That fact had not gone missed by the brute who was gently tugging her into his lap. He noticed how much she enjoyed the heat, and was pleased when she let out a small unconscious sigh as she sunk into his heat. As she settled into his lap, he took note of how well they fit together, and how sharp her bones were. He sighed to himself before he spoke to her again,
"Little kitten, before we do anything else we need to clear things up," He paused and looked at her. Her long eyelashes swept her cheeks every time she blinked, and her eyes gazed up at him innocently. His wolf raged in his cage, fighting to be let out. Fighting for control. Years of training though had taught him well, and he easily put his animal away. "How much do you know of wolves?"
