Natsu x Male!Reader

Relax

Natsu's POV:

When I woke up,  I looked over at my clock, only to find out that it was 2 in the morning. Normally, I don't wake up this early so I looked over at (Y/n), but... he wasn't there. There was only a bloodied bandage on the bed. Worried, I shot up and woke Happy.

"Happy... Wake up..!!" I whispered but he didn't.

"Mmm... please accept... my fish Carla..." He lazily said.

"Hey, Happy..!!" I said in a little louder tone but he still remained asleep.

"I didn't know Happy was a deep sleeper..." Figuring that it might be useless,  I went outside to look for him but the moment I stepped outside, I saw him. He was just... standing there, looking at the blank night sky. The moon didn't shine, no stars were seen, nothing was there. It was weird that he was looking at total darkness or... does he see something I can't..?

"Hey, Natsu?" He said.

"Yeah? What's up?" I asked casually, now that I know that he's still here, it puts me at ease so I walked towards him. Something's not right.

"Are you feeling okay? It's uhh... a little cold out?" Unsure of what to say, he finally looked at me, only, his left eye looked like to was glowing a faint green, Maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on me...

"Can you hear them?"

"Hear what?"

"Surely you find it a little weird that it's quiet."

I listened and heard nothing; No bugs, no animals, not even the wind, "I...  hadn't noticed 'till now."

"...It's nice when it's this quiet." He looked relaxed, I guess he's not a fan of noisy places just how like I'm not a fan of a certain stripper mage.

"To be honest, I gotta agree with ya on that, it really is nice to have peace and quiet once in a while." I scratched the back of my head and nervously chuckled, "Especially when you're in Fairy Tail."

"Do you trust me?"

"Hmm?"

"I want to know if you trust me."

"Of course I trust you."

"...even when I tried to..."

"Don't worry 'bout it, besides-" I pulled him into a bro hug and gave him a light knuckle sandwich, smiling, "It's gonna take a lot more than a super weirdly shaped knife to kill this dragon slayer." He smiled a bit but still looked worried. I think the reason why he's been distant from everyone is mainly because he wants to protect everyone, "Ya know, I think I've said this before but-" I sat down on the front steps, then he sat down next to me, "You can trust me. Whatever you're goin' through, whatever's on your mind, you can tell me anything, I won't judge plus-" I pulled him close, until his head was on my chest, "I wanna protect you too, I wanna be there to help ya, so... Don't feel like you're ever alone, 'kay?" He didn't say anything, only nodded.

(Y/n)'s POV:

I trust him, I really do, it's just that I feel like something is missing but I can't quite put my finger on it.

This sound... this must be his heart beat. I... don't know why but... his heart beat sounds really nice. His warmth also feels really nice too, but this one in particular, is something I haven't felt in a while.

"Promise you won't do anything reckless."

"I should say the same to you." I chuckled.

Happy's POV:

Kukukukuku... Little do they know that I was spying on them the entire time. Looks like I was right after all: Natsu really liiiikes (Y/n)♡
They should totally go out, I wonder how come Natsu hasn't taken (Y/n) on a date... Maybe... He needs a little Encouragement... Kukukuku....
