Natsu x Male!Reader

Resting Pt. 1

"Natsu?"
"Heheh...."

The two dragon slayers were in the east forest, currently surrounded by an abnormal amount of gorians.

"There's around ten of them..." (Y/n) said as he popped his bones while smirking, "I'm ready whenever you are."
"Alright..." Natsu smirked and punched the palm of his hands, "I'M ALL FIRED UP!!!"

He yelled as they both charged towards the largest looking gorian.

"FIRE DRAGON IRON-!!!"
"NATSU!! HOLD ON DON'T-!!!!"

~•Several minutes later...•~

"B-Be careful-" (Y/n) said, panting heavily, "Y-You're being t-too... r-rough..."

"J-Just h-hang in there a bit more-" Natsu said as he struggled to speak, "I-I'm almost done."

"Y-You lied... You said that t-this wouldn't hurt..."
"S-Sorry, it wasn't suppose to.."

"NATSU!!!" (Y/n) tightly shut his eyes and balled up his fists, on the verge of tears.

"DONE!!!" He yelled as he sighed.

"Y-You... DID THAT ON PURPOSE, DIDN'T YOU?!!" (Y/n) immediately turned his head at Natsu, obviously frustrated.

"Hey, I said I was sorry!!" Natsu took his roll of bandages and wrapped it around (Y/n)'s newly stitched wound, while wiping off the smeared blood around his back.

"I told you to be carefull, especially when I'm within the range of your spells..."

"I'm sorry!!" Natsu clapped his hands together and lowered his head, feeling an intense amount of guilt, "BUT IT'S YOU'RE FAULT FOR NOT USING YOUR MAGIC!!"

"Perhaps, but... it doesn't mean that you have to attack me like that-" He sighed, struggling to sit up straight, "Look at what you did, I could barely move..."

"I said I was sorry... how many times do ya want me to apologize?" Natsu stood up and dusted off his behind, then stood in front of (Y/n) and gave a mischievous look, "Or maybe... apologizing isn't enough. Maybe... there's something else you want, something that'll satisfy-"

"I-Idiot!! I just told you that I could barely move!!" (Y/n) said as his face turned a light shade of red.  All of a sudden, the fire dragon slayer scooped up his injured lover.

"You won't need to-" He spoke in a low and soft tone, "I'll do the moving for you.." He said before he started running but something stopped him.

A sound caught their attention, a rather loud growl.

"Natsu... Was that-"
"Y-Yeah... I-I'm pretty sure it was..."

The growling was heard again, only this time, it was even louder than before.

"Maybe we should-"
"No, no... It'll be fine."

The salamander gulped, feeling nervous and a bit embarrassed. As the growling continued, the fire dragon slayer unknowingly tightened his grip on (Y/n), slightly causing him more pain on his inflicted injuries.

"If I wait it out, it'll go away..."
"N-Natsu... you know that an empty stomach doesn't go away, right? And on top of that, it's really bad for your health..." The shadow dragon slayer tried to get free from the salamander's tight grip, "N-Now please put me down..."

"Wha? No way, I gave you these bruises, cuts, and that huge wound. There's no way I'm gonna let you go. It's my fault so I'm gonna take care of you."

"O-Okay... but p-please loosen your grip-" The shadow dragon slayer said in a strained voice, "Y-Your fingers feel like they're clawing into my wounds..."

"W-Why didn't you say so earlier?!!" Natsu placed his lover in a sitting position as gently as he could, then forced him onto his back. Piggy - back style, "Were you feeling like this the entire time?"

"No-" (Y/n) sighed in relief, "When your stomach started rumbling... Speaking of rumbling, shouldn't we start heading back?"

"Don't ya worry, we'll be back home in one second-" He popped his neck and dragged his left leg one step behind, "Just make sure you hold on tightly, 'kay?"

"Hold on tight? What are you talking about?Happy isn't-"

Right before (Y/n) could finish his sentence, Natsu launched up towards the sky, doing loops and swirling all the while his feet were ignited.

"WAIT!!! DON'T DO THAT OR ELSE-"

But he didn't listen... However, this wasn't surprising to (Y/n) because Natsu never really liked playing by the rules.

~• Another few minutes later... •~

They made it back home, in one piece too.
After lying (Y/n) onto the bed, the salamander stretched and rubbed his stomach, "You're probably as hungry as I am, I'll stop by the guild and grab something sweet for you." He turned and headed outside, "Sleeping is good for your health too, ya know."

(Y/n) shifted his position to his right side so he could see the salamander at the doorway, "Alright." He smiled while watching Natsu leave. Soon, he slowly drifted away into slumber.

As soon as Natsu left the house, Happy flew by.
"Um... Natsu?"

"Oh, hey Happy-" The fire dragon slayer said, "What's up?"

The exceed sighed, "I have something important to tell you..." Happy said, sounding solemn.

"Did something bad happen?"

"I think so..."
"Tell me then."
Happy inhaled and exhaled deeply, "It's... It's about gramps..."
"What happened to him?"
"It's not about what happened... It's more like who made it happen.."
"Well?"
"Remember that Raven guy?"
"The guy who tried to snatch (Y/n)? Yeah, I remember him, I still gotta bone to pick with that creep."
"Well... we just received this notice..."
"Okay, and what was it about?"
"It was about three family murders in two nights.."

Shocked, Natsu stopped walking and looked at his exceed, "What?"
