I was sitting in my room patiently on my phone when Kadan mind-linked me his voice very panicked. 'Dalton you need to get down to Isabella's now.' Kadan said through mind-link. 'Woah. Slow down. What's happening?' I asked him as Ash stirred and growled at a threat towards Isabella.
She was injured.
'Hybrids and a hellhound. Their attacking. We need help. There's two pregnant woman. Get down here with your family as soon as possible.' Kadan said. That lurched me forward and I was leaping down the stairs and to the kitchen. Nico, Andrew, Max and Noah sat there.
"What's wrong?" Nico asked looking up. "Hybrids at Isabella's." I said going out the door discarding clothes on the way. I'd ask my Mom to come but someone needed to watch Alex and Isaac. "I'll mind-link Mom." Andrew stated as we all let the shift take over us.
It didn't take long until five wolves stood there. A white one, a grey one, a dark grey, and a black one with a white stripe then I. I let out a bark before taking off. 'Where's Angel?' I asked Nico through mind-link. 'On her way. She went for a run. I mind-linked her she said she'd meet us at Isabella's.' Nico answered.
With that we took off our paws uprooting dirt and grass. I didn't doubt Orchid would be close by. 'I hope there isn't too many and that Isabella is being protected.' I didn't doubt that one bit. ************* All five of us surged through the forest and onto the property Isabella, Kadan, Lucas and Derik lived on. Numerous hybrids were spread out locked in furry battle. Isabella was near the wall with a purple haired girl with a bump and Alana. Both pregnant ladies. Isabella had pistols out and was shooting them.
Wolves were fighting. Kadan was near Alana guarding the three keeping any hybrids away with the aid of Isabella. This wasn't Kadan's first time defending Alana from an attack. Except last time she wasn't carrying their child. Now Kadan was fighting even harder. A black huge wolfdog was fighting next to a green wolf?
Ok.
Lucas had his crossbow out and was next to Derik who had his shotgun. Derik's eyes were gold hinting that Aki didn't want to be using the shotgun. 'Old habits die hard.' Mhm. A hybrid was creeping up on Lucas and Nico bounded off after it taking it by surprise before snapping it's neck.
More hybrids had poured out and I let out a howl. Thank god this place was further out. I surged forward and caught a hybrid midair before letting Ash takeover who slammed it to the ground and tore it's throat out. I could hear wings beating.
Maybe birds scared.
However as another hybrid lunged my guess was proved wrong. A girl wearing very little clothing wailed the hybrid before snapping it's neck. Her pink eyes glanced at me. She had a tail and bat wings. Up in the air was a male version who then swooped down at a hybrid.
The girl flew back up. 'I have no idea what those were.' 'Me either.' In my moment of shock a hybrid sprang at me but was stopped by a huge Lycan slamming into it then another one. They viciously tore it apart. A sand colored wolf emerged from the woods.
The Lycans looked at me and growled then looked at Isabella. A cue to aid Kadan in their protection. I lunged at another hybrid heading for the Alana. I snapped it's neck before going up to Kadan. 'Where's the hellhound?' I asked. 'I don't know. It came charging then disappeared.' Kadan answered.
My eyes scanned the crowd of numerous hybrids. However my eyes shifted to a misty form. Two of them. A smaller one advancing a taller one. Red eyes glaring at each other. The small one lunged and the two went down as the big one sunk it's canines into the small one's neck.
A cry went out and the green wolf stopped and Isabella's eyes shifted over. Anger crossed her eyes and the green one went flying and out went Isabella. Before the hellhound could snap the smaller hellhounds neck the green wolf went colliding into the hellhound. Isabella shot at it.
The green wolf and the hellhound went into a tumble. "Ferrell!" The purple haired girl screeched. That made her Magenta I believe. Alana had to grab the Magenta to keep her from trying to aid who I assumed was the father of her baby.
The green wolf pulled back to aid the hurt small hellhound. The hellhound let out a fearsome howl and the hybrids stopped. In fact the whole battlefield went still. Some hybrids still looked prepared to fight. Our side went quick to protecting their loved one. Enyr went straight towards Lucas pulling him away.
Derik dragged Isabella away despite her anger. 'I think she's ready to jump him and try to gain mystical powers to rip his throat out.' The anger rolling off of Isabella spoke many lengths. The green wolf helped the small hellhound up and over to Isabella who was quick to cover the wound.
Despite the hybrids no longer attacking everyone else was still on alert. The hybrids growled still wanting to fight but a fearsome growl from the hellhound caused them to back up looking quite disappointed. Numerous hybrid bodies were there. Some burst into flames and some didn't.
Despite that we had no casualties on our side. Probably because we were trained and they were not. 'No one would allow a casualties here. Family and love bonds us together.' My eyes shifted over to Andrew who stood next to Orchid surprisingly. I didn't even notice her here. No familiars though but she had her wand out.
However she still had it raised in case of an attack. Nico had headed over here with Angel following. A line had clearly been drawn in the dirt on where people would go. Derik had dragged a very angry Isabella away from there. They might attack if Isabella attacked.
And Isabella would be there to take the brunt force. The flying people demons hit the ground mixing with everyone else on our side. Ferrell had gone to comfort Magenta and Kadan stood in front of Alana right underneath her bump prepared to defend both his girls.
Alana and Isadora.
Isabella was still with the small hellhound keeping pressure on the wound to keep the hellhound. 'The hellhound won't die right?' 'I hope not.' Concern was laced through me and I had walked up to Isabella and the hellhound who was solid. I laid down next to her with a whine.
I leaned forward and licked the hellhound's wound licking Isabella's hand at the same time. The hellhound on the other side surged forward and I was up in moments prepared to defend everyone. As was Andrew, Nico, Noah and Max who was hidden behind Noah for shelter. Mostly because of his markings.
The hellhounds body lurched forward and everyone got prepared however a male took place with clothes. He wasn't very recognizable as he had lots of clothes. His red eyes looked at everyone. "Now you see what I can do. This was just a warning. I like finding people's powers." He said.
Then he shifted. He let out a howl before running away the hybrids following after him. The group loosened and Ryne was quick to Isabella. "We need to stitch Maryse's neck and get wounds taken care of." Isabella said rubbing the hellhound's face. The hellhound whined.
Orchid was quick over. 'Orchid will fix her.' Ash was confident the hellhound would survive. "Isabella." Magenta said coming over. "What?' Isabella asked as Magenta looked at her. "The hellhound I know who he is." Magenta said as Ferrell came up. That got Isabella's attention. "Who? Isabella asked through clenched teeth.
"Garrick. Gavial and Gabrielle's older brother."
1298. Cliffhanger once again. The chapter will continue for here. Lets hope Orchid fixes up poor Maryse. Until next time evil marshmallows.
