Blood Moon

Chapter 4

When I wake up Alice is still here. I don't have to open my eyes to know because I can feel her cool arms around me. It's 7am like every other day when I wake up. Alice has her eyes closed but I know better, vampires don't sleep. "Vampires don't sleep silly." I say but it comes out as a low whisper. "I do." She murmurs. "Well you better wake up!" I leap from the bed at inhuman speed, rip the covers off Alice and then run for my dear life. Alice catches me pretty fast and starts tickling me until I cry from laughter.

When Alice is finished being a meanie, I get ready. Alice must have gone home while I was asleep and got dressed because she's already changed. Surprisingly, today is sunny so that means no school for the Cullen's or us today. Alice and I are going to hunt and then spend the day in Seattle with Felix, lucky enough for us it's not sunny in seattle. Fi hands me a bowl of cereal that's twice as much milk as cereal, he must have made his own breakfast today. I take the cereal and join him at the table for breakfast. The cereal was not that great and really soggy from all the milk but I eat it just because Fi made it for me.

We're just about to leave when Fi slips on the ice and falls down the steps. I run to catch him but it's too late, I hear several cracks and Fi starts to cry. I start to panic and that's when I smell it. Blood, fresh human blood. The blood is calling to me and my throat burns with thirst. I can feel my eyes turn black. No Bella, this is Felix, he is not food. I hold my breath and scoop him up trying to be careful of his arm which is bent at a weird angle. "We need to get him to Carlisle, we can't go to the hospital, it's sunny." I say as I quickly put him in my car and me and Alice both get in.

Carlisle already knows we're coming because Alice called on the way so when we arrive at the Cullen's he's out the front waiting. He is rushed up to Carlisles office where Carlisle has already prepared the stuff to fix his broken arm. "You should probably go Bella, you don't look so good, maybe go for a hunt?" Carlisle suggests. "No way! I am staying right here with him and not leaving his side the whole time." I argue and Carlisle nods understandably and doesn't push it.

I hear Esme ring Charlie from down stairs to tell him what happened and not too long after he arrives at the front door in a panic. He must have left work to be here with him. I hold Fi's good hand the whole time and watch as Carlisle puts Fi's arm in a cast. He broke his wrist as his ulna (bone in lower arm) was snapped clean in half. One he's all stitched up Charlie takes Fi home and me and Alice go on our shopping trip without him.

"You are very privileged because I don't even let anyone touch my baby let alone go in it or drive it." I say as Alice starts up the engine and speeds down the long drive way. "You should see my car, I have a Porsche." Alice says and my jaw drops. "Theyre my second favourite car! You have to let me drive it, or even just go in it and you can drive." I'm literally bouncing up and down in my seat I'm that excited about her car. "I'll let you drive it, on one condition... You have to be my girlfriend."
