ALMOST OVER

You know that time of the school year when you have three days left (Not including your finals) and every day feels like it lasts a century.

You know that time of the school year when its so hot that you literally just want to stab yourself to put yourself out of your misery.

You know that time of the school year when your math teacher says "Your not going to have a calculator on your final" and your internally screaming because you forgot how to do long division

You know that time of the school year that the award ceremony is going on, and your friends are showered with awards and certificates, and your sitting there with abosolutley nothing.

You just keep telling yourself "It's almost over" and yet, it feels just the same as it did in september.

Almost as if nothing ever happened at all

You sit and wonder in your computer sciences class "When I graduate will things still be exactly the same? Will ___ still be the class clown, ____ still the quarterback and _____ still the most popular kid in school?"

Somehow the thought comforts me a little bit.

That we'll all still be the same person even though we are older.

Of course that means that I'll still be the girl that if you even stand next too your social status goes down.

But maybe being that way isnt too bad.

After all, it gives me privacy.

But maybe things will one day change.

Maybe I'll end up being on top somehow.

I guess we all have to just wait and see.

That time is when the real madness begins.

This is a small excerpt from a book I am planning to write over the summer. If you like it leave a comment or a like or whatever. To be honest, Im going through all the things that have been described in the paragraph you just read. Middle school is complicated. If you are interested in the book and would like me to post more information about it, leave a comment.

Until next time
