Hey guys! Recently I was watching one of The Anime Man's videos on YouTube, and while scrolling through the comments, I found a comment that made a really good point that I would like to address.
This was the comment:
"One thing that really bothers me about the anime community is how toxic we've become towards anything that is popular and anyone who likes a popular show. It's become unacceptable in the anime community to label a series like One Piece, Bleach, and Sword Art Online as your favorite anime without being categorized as a casual scrub, weeb, pleb, ect. And it's unacceptable to judge these anime that rise up in popularity as anything higher then good or better than average, because in the eyes of most people in the anime community anything really popular is not much better then good, and you will most likely not be respected as a fan of the medium unless your favorite anime is something unpopular or not widely known"
If you are one of the people who judge people who like mainstream anime like this, please stop. We are all untitled to our opinions as human beings, so please don't make fun of ours. It's not nice.
I just wanted everyone to be aware of people like this, and if you think you are one of these people S T O P I T P L Z.
Okay I'm done ranting now
Bye
