"Yall coming in to have movie night?" My brother stood over me looking down as I nodded and climbed out the pool. I pulled a towel around myself, self-consciously, as Ace pulled himself out of the pool as well.
"What are we watching?" I asked as we started to walk into the house, me
trying desperately to keep up and dry off at the same time.
"Don't know. I think Slade picked it." I sighed.
"Great. Just great. Im goin to go change." I muttered before walking away and going to my room.
Sure enough as I thought they put Slade and I side by side on the fol out bed that all five almost grown boys tried to fit on.
He tried putting his arm around me as I punched his side.
"The game remember. You've got to be nice." He smirked as I exhaled angrily. "I don't have to be anything." "We need rules." He muttered as I shrugged carelessly. He didn't like that too much seeing he grabbed my hand and practically drug me into my bedroom. "Excuse you. What do you think you are doing?" I said trying to get past him to get to the door. "We need rules for this so called game you wanted to start. I say we have to hold hands, hug, be SWEET, act like a couple, you know play fight and crap, not tell anyone its a part of the game, and kiss. Whenever I or you want to." i shook my head ready to shoot down most of his rules.
"No kissing, no hugging, how about no touching in general?" I asked as he shook his head and smirked. I knew exactly what he was thinking. "Oh no. No Slade." "Then my rules apply." I stomped my foot. "Fine." I grumbled out annoyed at him for making me choose between his rules and one unmentionable thing. "Happy now? Can I go back to my movie?" I asked as he smirked. "Yes very happy, princess. And yes but not without a kiss." He mumbled as I glared at him.
"You are not leaving until I get a kiss." He said as I leaned forward.
"Sike." I pulled away and almost made it around him to the door. My hand was on the knob when his arms wrapped around my waist.
"Oh you are not as sly as you look, pretty girl." His arms were securely around my waist and I knew I wasn't going anywhere. Would he really force me to kiss him? Would he really make me do such a thing? Was he really that cold and heartless. "No i won't make you kiss me, Jace, but the game won't end until one of us, and by that I mean you, realize just who will always win at the player's game. Because it certainly won't be an angel faced broken girl." He mumbled into my ear before I kneed him hard, in his area. "Call me broken again and you'll be pulling teeth put of your stomach." I snarled before making my way back to the living room and sitting down just as the previews started.
"Hey where's Slade?" Ace asked as I shrugged a shoulder. "Probably looking for an ice pack for his, um, area." I mumbled as all the guys erupted into laughter. "You didn't?" Jordan asked I nodded. "Kneed him straight there." I sighed as Slade walked into the living room and sat in his place, next to me. "Did you even apologize?" Marcus asked as Tyler asked Slade, "Yo dude, she strong or no?" at the same time winking as Slade threw a pillow at him and I shook my head no. My pillow.
"Hey that was mine." I yelled as Slade smirked. "Guess you will just have to use me." He put an arm around me and pulled me into his chest as I angrily crossed my arms. But let him anyway.
"No. Is this that new horror movie?" I asked as Slade smirked and nodded while Tyler pressed play. "Why? No turn it off and pick something else." I mumbled as Slade smirked yet again. "Princess, are you scared?" I didn't answer so he pulled me closer and wrapped two arms protectively around me as I tried resisting. He was stronger than me and that definitely showed when my head rested on his chest. "It's okay baby girl, I will protect you." I shook my head as the horrid movie began.
Sure enough not even a minute in the movies I jumped which made Slade boom with laughter. He just held me closer as he laughed at my fear. I so badly wanted to hit him again. "Its okay baby girl." He muttered as I jumped again and hid my eyes while trying to cover my ears. He just pushed my face into his chest without a smirk or laughter. I stayed like that before I eventually felt Slade slack up. Then I bolted into the kitchen. That horror movie would probably make me have more nightmares than I already do. Way to go Jace. And thanks a lot Slade. I hadn't even made it to the fridge when a hand rested on my shoulder. "Ah." I yelled turning around trying to shrink against the counter. He was going to get me. How did he find me? What was he going to do to me? All of a sudden the thousands of memories flew straight to the front of my mind. Brown hair. Hazel eyes. His hand coming down on the table in front of me as his booming voice echoed into my ears.
Terror coursed through my veins and invaded the look of my eyes as I breathed heavily. The other person crouched down in front of me. I looked up and sighed heavily. My eyes met two bluish green eyes. My breathing began to slow down as I sighed. The fear slowly went away. It wasn't fear of the movie that made me this way. It was my fear of him.
