"wait what?" jeff asked through the phone call. "tomorrow night we're going on a double date with clay and hannah." casey clarified. "and clay told you about this?" he asked.

casey nodded her head then realized he couldn't see her through the phone. "yep." she said. "he didn't even tell me!" he said raising his voice.

"i need to have a word with him!" he said. "why are you so mad? it's not like he's leaving you for her." she laughed through the call.

"i'm his wingman! he's supposed to tell me these things." he replied. "i mean," casey took a pause. "you have been spending a lot more time with me, maybe he's mad at you or something? he's been getting pretty jealous."

"are you on his side?" jeff asked. "no of course not! whatever, you're coming tomorrow?" she asked, more like demanded. "obviously i'm coming."

the girl smiled. not only was she helping her two best friends get together, she also got to spend more time with jeff.

"okay babe i'm gonna go sleep now." casey said glancing at the bright red numbers on her alarm clock. "goodnight princess." jeff said. "goodnight jeff." she smiled once more before hanging up the call.
