"i've got it!" casey yelled while running down the stairs. she immediately smiled when she opened the door to see jeff. she stopped herself from almost giving him a kiss when she realized her parents would be behind her.

she turned to see both of them staring at her. "mom, dad, this is jeff, we're working together for a project." she said. both of the adults just smiled and nodded. "okay love you guys buy!" she said closing the door behind her.

"sorry about them, they don't speak much english so, they couldn't really say anything." casey said as she got in jeff's car. "working together for a project?" he questioned, starting the car.

casey rolled her eyes. "you don't understand how strict and crazy my parents are." she looked at jeff hoping he wasn't sad about this.

jeff glanced at the girl for a quick moment before returning his eyes to the road. "when will they know about us?" he asked in a low tone. "eventually. i'll ask my mom if she thinks your nice, then eventually i'll tell her, and she can tell my dad."

she peered at jeff who was staying silent. "you're not mad are you?" she asked. "of course not." he answered truthfully. casey felt a sense of relief knowing that her boyfriend wasn't lying.

"okay good," she leaned over to jeff. "because you know i like you a lot." she cupped his face and repeatedly kissed his neck. "i hope i'm not distracting you." she joked.

"of course not." jeff kissed her while keeping his eyes on the road, which shortly came to an end after he pulled up to the parking lot of rosie's diner.

"are you ready to finally hook these guys up?" the boy asked unbuckling his seatbelt. "these two have liked eachother longer than we've known eachother, i'm pretty sure i'm ready."

when jeff and casey walked into the diner clay and hannah were already in a booth. the two were laughing at something that probably wasn't funny considering the two had a horrible sense of humor.

"are we late?" casey asked noticing that both hannah and clay had a milkshake. "no, both of us came early." clay lied. he asked jeff to be here by eight and it was now quarter to nine.

it wasn't an accident that jeff came late though. he planned on arriving later, he needed clay to spend some of their date with just hannah.

almost an hour had past and the group was enjoying themselves, though casey realized hannah and clay weren't talking as much. luckily hannah excused herself to go the bathroom and casey offered to go with her.

"you really like her eh?" clay asked jeff as they watched the two girls enter the washroom. "yeah. something about her is just so, irresistible."

"what's up with you?" casey questioned. "what do you mean?" hannah asked avoiding eye contact. "you know excactly what i mean." and hannah did. "you two both are so in love with eachother and suddenly you're silent?"

hannah gazed at casey through the mirror. "i just, feel more comfortable around him when we're alone." she let out in a quiet tone. "why didn't you just say so? me and jeff wouldn't even have came!"

"no you don't have to leave don't worry." hannah said reassuringly. "nonsense! me and jeff will leave right now." she said pushing through the restroom door.

"change of plans! i have a really bad stomach ache. sorry guys." casey said clenching her stomach. "oh no that's horrible!" clay said in a worried tone.

"jeff can you drive me home?" she asked. "but i'm eating." he said with a mouth full of fries. casey glared at him which made him jump out of the booth. "yeah i'll drive you home."

without explanation the couple left the diner. "what was that about?" jeff asked before reaching his car. "look at them." casey pointed through the window.

jeff looked at the two who were already deep in a conversation. "they're better alone, they're weird around people, around us." casey said.

"hopefully by tonight that'll change." jeff said. "hopefully."
