nova watched him with neither admiration nor love but disgust.he had a smile sharp as knives,
drawing them in and stabbing them before they left.nova didn't understand why he could be so loved. all she saw were his demons, a cloud overhanging with the weight of his sins rained upon him.
she saw all the girls dreaming over him.
the lustful gazes, the hearts around his name.it was a shame he loved none but one.
nova watched from afar, they way his eyes watched over her as she walked past, the way he glared at those who did the same. his eyes flashed, if that was what she could describe it as, as she turned the corner.
nova tilted her head at him, beckoning a confession from the devil's companion.
even a monster can love.
she saw the lovestruck couple more so than she did herself, a sad one way mirror she couldn't see through.
"nova."
"sorry, lis, lost in thought."
he caught his eye before turning around, reading what she knew. it sent shivers down her spine from the apprehension she felt. this wouldn't be the last time they'd talk.
"alek?"
nova smiled at her, pulling her away gently to escape his electric eyes.
"no, emilia."
