"Demons are what angels use to be." Anti stated out of nowhere tearing his eyes away from[Y/n]. He pushed out his breaths knowing he had to recall all. "I- I," Anti couldn't find the words he needed to explain himself. He clenched his teeth to stop the feeling from seeping through his words. "God sent us to protect his imperfect perfect creations-- so I did." he went on. [Y/n] sat there with pure confusion. Not to his tale, but to the story that was being revealed to her. The fact he could feel such things n contrast to his hard facade. Anti swallowed a lump that formed in his throat and bitterly smiled "I was her guardian angel." He said patronizingly to himself.
He stopped himself and gasped in sudden pain. His hands found themselves quickly pressing his temples out of the sudden headache. The surge of pain ran through his scalp like a drill.
The pain ceased. When he opened his eyes they were blue again. " [Y/n," Jack sighed in relief and tried to hug her. [Y/n] moved back from his hand perturbed from Antis story not being finished. She blinked away the mood and hugged him back.
[Y/n] explained to Jack the whole situation in rushed detail. Though, he did interrupted her a lot to understand and to clear things up. For instance, the fact that Arin and Suzy might actually be evil but ya know its whatever. Not to mention the whole "sorcery and dark stuff" that Suzy sold and liked wasn't just a casual hobby.
"They've arrested Signe?" Jack sat up completely and hardened his jaw to brace the pain. [Y/n] put a hand on his shoulder to stop him but he shoved her hand away. "We have to go save her." He decided and painfully for up. "How?" [Y/n] stood up and joined him. "I'm turning myself in, maybe they'll let her go since I'm the monster here." He grumbled under his breath. "What? No you can't do that!" [Y/n] began to yell in protest.
"She's right." A voice came into the room. "Look," Suzy began to speak. "I'm sorry for my husbands behavior but... he's right. No one can get out of this deal until it's fulfilled." Unlike always her voice sounded genuine. "I can pull a couple of strings and tricks to get Signe out of this mess but that just means you guys have to seriously purify [Y/n]. Ok?" She presented another deal. "I don't need your damn-" Jack began to storm towards her with what little might he had but [Y/n] cut him off. "Ok." [Y/n] punched her words in.
"Please rest Jack." [Y/n] pleaded in what was more a command. "Fuck off." He spat and stormed out of the building.
His chest felt heavy and his breaths were very deliberate. It felt more like a chore to lift his feet, one after another in front of each other than actual purpose. The city paths were clear and obnoxiously bright as with every car that zoomed passed his annoyance grew.
He reached a part that had more people floating about-- a park area. Warily he looked around at the different faces as he passed a couple of them whispering and staring. "Its the terrorist!" One of them managed to blurt out. More of them were staring in awe compared to the few that ran away. At this point, Jack felt nothing but emptiness and lack of care wash over him and a blanket of pain to top it all off. Jack glanced over to a police car that had arrived on scene. The blue vehicle reminded him of Signe, who was suffering on his behalf. Jack simply stopped and stared as the police rushed out of their car and tackled him to the floor.
He shoved into the car-- handcuffs in hand. The grating in front of him separated him from the black haired police officer driving the car.The sensation of the slight bumps of the tiers were torn away from him when a piercing headache of Anti watching and wanting to take over began to scream. Jack closed his eyes to focus and began to speak in his mind. "As long as I'm awake, I'm in charge. I don't care if I die from sleep deprivation." He spat at Anti. "Jack- That police officer isn't a-" Anti began to plead. "I said I fuck off Anti!" He yelled aloud to himself. His eyes widen at his mistake and he quickly looked to the rear view mirror to see the police officers reaction. Only then did he see that there was no officer in the reflection.
"Jack you need to let me take over." Antis static voice was urgent. Jocks eyebrows scrunched together and his face scrunched up at his options. Hes a dangerous man. There's most likely more police trailing this car in case something bad happens. Not to mention if there are such thing as creatures and magics then its not ok to assume their bad, like Suzy (even though not to Jacks knowledge, sold her faulty handcuffs). With this knowledge Jack sat quietly in the police car.
At the grump space Suzy and [Y/n]surrounded by a pile of witchcraft books. "We might have to go to my place-- this is all I had lying around the work space." she sighed disheartened at the lack of information. [Y/n] looked up from her own page at a loss for words on how the hell all these books couldn't have anything.
"Oh?" [Y/n] exclaimed when she found a page.
"Before the face disappears
Before resistance becomes blear
Take the hand and slice the palm
On the crescent before the dawn
To where the soul was created
There two hearts must be slated
One for the ritual one for the kill
There, they too, must red water spill"
[Y/n] read allowed the instructions to Suzy. When [Y/n] looked up from the page Suzy's face was scrunched up in a wince. "Egh," Suzy began "Rhyming Grimories are so cringy." She explained and took the book from [Y/n] for closer inspection. "I don't understand what the fifth line is supposed to be saying." [Y/n] stated while looking at the page from an angle. Suzy face scrunched up more as she faced [Y/n] "Well, when its said 'home is where the heart is' that use to be because couples would build a house then have kids- ya know" Suzy stepped around her words carefully. "So where the soul was created we have a more personal bond- or I mean-" she began to fumble over her words. "It- it means where you were conceived." she put on a pained smile. [Y/n] squinted her eyes and glared at the page re reading it to herself. "Why THE FUCK-" [Y/n] bellowed out of how ridiculous that was. "Hey don't blame me! Blame the author!" Suzy began. Just as she said that she and [Y/n] looked towards the camera as if they were in The Office. Not only that but a faint ringing of the Seinfeld theme could be heard in the background.
