~Y/N's POV~

The Park was nice. It was peaceful. The air was clean. The rustling of fallen leaves seemed to calm me down. It was evening so the sky had a orangey-glow on it. I was standing under a huge tree. There were people walking their dogs, children playing here and there and Hot Dog and Ice Cream stands scattered everywhere. The whole day, we had talked about the most random things.

Ariana had told me about her family. From the way she talks about her mother, I realised that she loves her mother a lot. She told me silly childhood memories. We ate lunch at a small restaurant named 'Berry'. The food there was really good. Spending my time with Ariana, I have come to realise that Ariana is actually a really good person on the inside. She even helped a old woman just an hour ago carry her shopping bags to her car.

Currently, Ariana was buying snacks for us. We had finished the milkshakes but we were still hungry.

"Holy Shit! I'm really sorry but I think we may have to leave the country." Ariana's hands fell on my wrist as she pulled me down the pavement, making me run along with her. My senses became alert immediately at the sudden change of the situation.

"What?" I asked, startled. "What happened?"

"I got involved with bad people." She said, looking behind me before continuing to run with fear in her eyes. My heart beat sky-rocketed and I held her hand tighter as we ran.

"What bad people?" I asked, astounded, breathlessly.

"The Puppy Mafia!" She yelled and looked behind me. I turned around to find a whole group of puppies chasing us. They seemed angry but they were cute at the same time. Did I ever mention that I am scared of dogs? Well, now I am scared of puppies too.

"What did you do Ariana?" I asked, trying to stifle my laughter at the whole situation. It only made me laugh more at Ariana's serious expression.

"I accidentally stepped on their tails." She shouted and her eyes searched around, looking for something. Suddenly, something tugged on my heels and I looked behind to see one puppy biting the hem of my pants.

"Ahhh! Ariana! It's biting me. Help!" I shouted, trying to shake the puppy off as I ran faster. I looked up to see that the puppy were very near our feet. Fear coursed through my veins as my eyes widened. Sweat droplets trickled down my forehead. "Oh my god! Ariana! Carry me!"

It only took her a second, before she scooped down and carried me onto her arms. I clung to her, looking over her shoulder for any sign of those evil puppies. "Run! Faster! They are catching up!"

It's only then I realised that the whole park was looking at us with amusement and pity. Some of them even had their phones out, recording the situation.

"Found a place we can hide." Ariana breathed out and suddenly she jumped. Soon, she was running down a wooden deck, leading to the small cruises and boats floating on the lake. She was climbing up the staircase of one of the small cruise ship which looked fabulous.

"You can't just get in one of the ships." I said.

"It's mine." Ariana said and my eyes widened in surprise. I looked behind to see the puppy mafia was standing at the edge of the park, barking at us.

Ariana stopped once we reached the floor of the ship. She placed me on one of the tables but didn't let go of me in whole. She stood between my legs, her hands resting on either side of my thighs as she panted. I looked at her, feeling a little guilty that I had made her carry me.

She looked up, feeling a little normal, but her face was still a little flushed. Both of us stared at each other, when I bursted laughing. She smiled, before joining in on the laughter. Both of us laughed heavily at the whole situation.

A bark made us both turn towards the park. There were still one puppy barking at us.

"Fuck you puppy!" Ariana flipped the puppy off and it ran away. I laughed harder. I laughed like I had never laughed before. Suddenly, delicate arms circled my body and I squealed, when I realised I was back in Ariana's arms again.

Our laughter subsided and she looked down at me. I circled my hand around her neck, waiting for her to say something.

"Told you I would keep you safe." She winked.

"From puppies?"

"Whatever."

I laughed and her cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. I laughed even harder, loving the fact that she was embarrassed. It's my first time I have ever seen her in this state. She smirked at me before holding me closer.

"Put me down." I pointed my finger at her.

"No." She smirked and winked at me, before walking towards the edge of the floating boat.

"Put me down now." I tried again, not really wanting to get down from her arms.

"Ok." She said and suddenly moved me over the edge of the boat, her body leaning forward over mine and leaning me backwards. I realised that she was holding me above the water. I looked at the water below me and fear took over my body. Flashes of my past experiences with water coursed through my mind and I panicked. I squealed in fear. Reaching for her neck, I clung to her like a Koala. She chuckled.

"That was not funny." By my serious tone, she realised that she had done something wrong and immediately walked over to the table, putting me down.

"What is it? Tell me—" Her comforting voice got cut off by a deep one.

"Miss." A voice called from behind. Ariana looked behind me. "Star."

"Do you need me Miss? I can drive the boat." He said and Ariana looked at me for the answer. I nodded my head, pursing my lips, trying to remove all the past memories from my mind. Ariana agreed to Star's offer after my consent and Star quickly got on board.

Ariana looked back at me. "You can tell me anything Kitkat." She rubbed my hands, reassuringly. "I'm sorry."

I pursed my lips, looking up at her and gave her a smile. "Where are we going?" I asked and Ariana noticed that I was changing the topic but decided to go along with me.

"Anywhere you want." She whispered, like a promise.
