Chapter 1: Rainy Day

There it was my whole life flashing before my eyes. Even though it sounds like a movie cliche, I saw all my friends, family, good times, bad times but, most importantly I saw him...

I was alone and scared I had no one well no one that wanted me. It was a dark rainy day in New York City. Today had been the worst day of my life, My boyfriend Dylan cheated on me, I'm failing all my collage courses and I'm alone in a new city. I walked into a men's clothing store found the changing area and just broke down in tears. After, what felt like forever I was interuppted by a voice that sounded familiar but, in my current state of mind I couldn't put a name to the voice. With a gentle voice making sure not to come on too strong he asked " What's wrong?" I took awhile to answer him. Only because I just wanted to get a good look at him (without sounding creepy, of course) He was taller than me, had light brown hair, gorgeous brown eyes that I could get lost but, tried not to (again I'm trying not be creepy) and, he looked quite strong. I almost forgot his eyebrow game was ON POINT! (Like seriously I can't even get eyebrows like that using all the makeup in the world and he gets that naturally. Totally unfair) Since I was still crying I just made a motion for him to sit next me. I told him all about the day I was having. He was being really sweet and I also found out his name is Dave. When Dave asked me for what my name was I tried as hard as I could without tearing up I said "Violet." Dave took me out of the store and asked if I wanted to go back to his place to warm up since I was freezing, starving and, had no where else to go I agreed. He called a cab and about 15 mins later we were at his place and it was the biggest house I had ever seen.

* Dave's P.O.V*

I woke up to a rainy New York day (these weren't anything new so it didn't phase me) I had an interview coming a week so I decided to get some new clothes (girly I know it happened to be one the best decisions I've in a while) I walked to the nearest clothing store and when I got in I heard crying and wanted to know where the sound was coming. I walked to the changing area and saw a girl with brown hair that got lighter toward the end. Looking at her made my heart shatter so I asked "what's wrong?" She looked at me for a while she had the most breathtaking green eyes I have ever seen (Harry Styles green) She didn't speak but made a motion for me to sit next to her. She told me about the worst day of her life she was trying so hard not to cry which was adorable. She was wearing a flannel that was the colors of autum, black leggings with white polka dots, a balck beanie and white converse. I told her my name and she hesitated before telling me her's. Once she told me her name was Violet I noticed that she was freezing and all her clothes were soaked. So I offered her to come to my place (you know keep her company, make sure she feels safe) Violet agreed and I called a cab to take us back to my place. "I hope she isn't overwhelmed by the size of my place" I thought to myself. But, my thought was interuppted as the cab driver was asking me to pay him. So I did and we proceeded to walk into my place. Violet looked in schock but, I think it was the good kind of shock cause there was a smile on her face. But then the thing I most feared that I totally forgot about was there.......
