Amelia's P.O.V
"Why did we come here again? I asked the girls as soon we pulled into the parking lot of the club.
"Don't say you're having second thoughts?" Abby asked glaring at me, getting out of the car.
"I am here. Aren't I?" I snapped back at her.
"Please don't fight now. We are here to enjoy. So put everything aside and have fun. Shall we?" Cindy asked trying to loosen up the tension.
She came and stood between me and Abby and hooked our arms with ours and pulled us towards the entrance. We showed our id's to the security that stood at the gate. He checked the id and allowed us inside and gave thumbs up.
I could see the place crowded with people, mostly teenagers. Some were dancing, some drinking. To one corner few were smoking, among them were girls. I also saw couples making out along our way. I shivered in disgust and averted my gaze away from them.
I followed the girls to the bar, where the bartender was a guy in his twenties, wearing a leather jacket. His hair was all over his face. Can't, he cut his hair? I shook my head at that thought.
They both ordered tequila shots, I just asked for a can of beer. The bartender handed me my drink. I popped open and took a sip of it, looking around at the scene before me. I don't see anything fun here. I mean nothing.
"How do you like it so far?" Abby asked. She was sitting at Cindy's left side, while I was at Cindy's right.
I brought back my attention back to them.
"Boring" I replied.
Abby stared at me as if grew two horns.
"Boring? That's what you have to say when we are in the famous club packed with people who are enjoying?" she questioned me.
"I told you, clubbing is not my thing. I came for you guys. So don't bother about me enjoying. Why don't you guys enjoy yourselves?" I snapped at her regretting instantly.
Cindy mumbled something and dragged Abby away from me towards the dance floor.
I watched them sway their hips, feeling the music and enjoying themselves. No matter how hard I try, I can't enjoy this, except brood over the fact that I am stuck here in the club because of my best friend and sister.
"Amy" I heard Jack's voice.
I whipped my head towards the source of his voice. I found Jack with another guy beside him, holding hands. I realized that it was his date, Hugh.
I noticed his appearance, he had brown hair which was neatly styled. He had blue eyes, a rare sight to see. He wore a button up shirt tucked into the jeans and wore a converse.
I was brought out of my thoughts when Jack waved his hand in front of my face.
"I am sorry; I am just surprised to see you. I thought you were on a date" I asked with confusion on my face.
"We ended it early as soon as Cindy called and informed me about the plan" he clarified.
"Who is that?" I asked whispering to him near his ears.
"That's my boyfriend. Hugh, Amelia. Amy Hugh" he introduced us.
I quickly leapt to my feet and hugged Hugh, surprising him. His posture was stiff, still, he returned my hug patting my back. I pulled away from him and hugged Jack.
"I am so happy for you" I grinned at him.
"Congratulations, Hugh. Can't believe you guys are a couple now. Hope you don't feel it's rushed. " I said returning my gaze to him.
"Nope. It's been a week and we've been seeing each other and decided not to wait long. I asked him to be my boyfriend and he agreed. I am so happy, Amy" he had that glow on his face.
I was happy for him and I was going to reply to him when someone interrupted us.
"I didn't see you as the clubbing type" I heard a familiar voice, behind Jack.
It's been a week since we last saw each other and my body reacts the exact same way it did the first time we met.
I gasped as soon as the owner of the voice came forward, leaving Jack to stand behind him. It was the guy from the café staring at me. He had an emotionless face, though his eyes were a different scenario.
Our gazes met and my body involuntarily let out a shiver in response. I was shy and tried to look away, but his burning gaze challenged me to do otherwise. So I kept my gaze fixed on him.
I could feel the rage emitting from him, but his posture remained calm. I must say, I am surprised that he didn't explode out of anger.
He was scanning me from head to toe. His expression showed that he was pleased with what he was seeing. His gaze then went to Hugh, who was staring right back at him.
"I can say the same to you" I replied boldly.
I was shocked to hear that coming out of my drink. I guess, it is the drink.
"I suppose it's the drink?" he voiced out the question which was on my mind.
I just held up my drink to show him.
"My first one." I said wanting to clear his doubt.
I don't know why; I didn't want him to be mad at me. I don't even know, why am I having such thoughts of pleasing him, making him happy.
"Very well. Do you mind introducing them?" he asked pointing to Jack and Hugh.
"This is Jackson and Hugh" Jack just gave a look which silently asked 'who is he?'
"Guys, this is..." I trailed off, realizing that I did not know his name.
I looked at him, waiting for him to speak.
"Caiden Markov,, " he said extending his hands for shaking with the boys.
I saw Jack stiffen at the mention of his name.
Nevertheless, Jack shook Caiden's hand. I just eyed them suspiciously. I gave Jack a look, which said, I would be speaking to him about this later on. Caiden then turned to shake hands with Hugh. Hugh obliged, but his face was so pale and I could see sweat forming on his forehead.
I wonder what this is about. I am going to find out soon.
Caiden, who are you? Why is everyone reacting so strange around you?
