((A/N: AH GUYS. YOU GUYS. There has been so much friggin support for this book and I love each and every one of you thank you just have to say that~!!!!))
Blue could only stand there. Stand there, and blink. Her face turned at least five shades of blue darker as the other Zircon pulled her lips away and stepped back, a frown across her face.
"Now you see why."
"Ah..." Blue raised a hand, covered her mouth her monocle shifting out of place. This was unprecedented. Wrong. Everything about it. And yet...She pressed her lips together under her hand.
"Well? They gave you the chance for a trial, didn't they? I'm taking over as your defense."
"Wh-wait you're what?!"
"We can go about this two ways. Either repeal your statement..." She looked at her over her the rim of her monocle. "Or we prove it to be true."
Nervously swallowing, Blue opened her files, her finger tracing lightly over the screen. How had she glazed over that....display so easily? Her hands quivered a bit as she remembered what happened just moments before. How it...no, stop. Her gem was on the line, she couldn't let this distract her. She needed to find the files on Pink Diamond. Surely there had to be a discrepancy she could pull apart.
"So, what do you want to do?"
"I'm...going to prove my statement." Blue said firmly, sweat beading up on her forehead. As she found the files, a red 'X' projected across her screen as she tried to access them. "Wh..."
"Of course you had your access to sensitive files revoked. You're the accused."
"O-oh..."
Yellow went to to the files, only to find that they weren't there in the first place. "How..." Her brow furrowed and she looked up. "Someone doesn't want you to be right."
"D-do you think the Diamonds..."
"Stop! As your defense, I will be gathering the evidence here!"
"We aren't going to find anything! The files we needed just disappeared!"
"And I'll find a way. They don't call me the best Zircon on Homeworld for nothing."
"...nobody calls you that."
Yellow pretended not to hear this statement, her hand behind her back while the other tapped away furiously. "Patience, Blue. Patience~"
At this, she slumped back against the wall, running a hand through her hair. "This is ridiculous..."
"Saving your gem is not ridiculous. Now just let me do as I need to." Yellow rolled her eyes, still trying to find something, any file the mentioned the shattered Diamond. But they were gone. As if they never even existed in the first place. Her brow furrowed slightly, and Blue looked on nervously.
"Yellow..."
"Shhh~!" She snapped, actually snapping her fingers at her.
"Yellow!"
"Gah what is it, Blue?!"
"Don't you think...the..." She trailed off, sweat beading up on her forehead.
"Well~? What do I think!?"
"The best place to gather evidence...is the scene of the crime."
