((Hey guys, bit of a shameless plug, but since you're heeeere! I recently started a Yellow x Blue Zircon ask blog on tumblr, in case anyone wants a piece of that :33 https://askcourtship.tumblr.com/ ANYWAY! Love you guys, and on with the show!))
"Wh-what...." She reached up to touch her face, blinking a few times. Wait. Looking down, she realized that there was another arm touching her own. But...that was her arm. Why was she so tall!?
The fusion let out a startled cry and looked around the courtroom. Every gem was looking at them in wide eyed shock.
"What happened?! What did you do!? What did I do?!" She bickered with herself before noticing the Aquamarine rising from her seat.
"This...just got a lot more interesting..." she quietly said, snapping out her wand.
"Figure it out later!" She stated before looking to the Amethysts, who were still blocking the entrance. There had to be a way out. She was nearly three heads taller than them, this wasn't a dead end...hopefully.
Closing her eyes, she brought a finger up to her spectacles, which was odd..what happened to her monocle...no time for that! Quickly pulling it out, she summoned a large screen, much like the ones each Zircon could bring up individually, but this one, she could grab and swing at the gems blocking her way.
A crude weapon, but they had only moments before the Aquamarine trapped them in a beam of light, making them struggle, but ultimately realize, they had no chance.
"This is certainly an interesting case, isn't it...? Not only do we have a rebellious little zircon, but we have two, fused together!" She giggled and went to fly upwards, but the Topaz quickly stood and grabbed her arm, throwing her off to one side and making her wand fly from her hands.
"Go, run!" Topaz yelled to them, holding Aquamarine in her grasp. "Get to the ships, go to Earth, find Rose Quartz!"
"Find Rose Quartz?!" Her eyes widened slightly, but there wasn't much time. With a firm nod, they fled the courtroom and ran as quickly, and as quietly as she could through the halls. The Amethyst guards were already after her. She'd have to unfuse if she needed to hide.
"No! Wh-what? I promised I would defend you, I failed. I didn't mean for this to happen..." One pair of arms came up to hug herself, tears welling up in her eyes.
"We can't sit around here, we have to...we have to go!" Taking a shaky breath, she nodded to herself and ran faster, the ships coming into view, but the other gems were getting closer.
"Quick! The code, what is it?! We can't fit in there!" She continued arguing with herself as she unlocked the ship.
"We have no choice!! Just let...go!" The fusion suddenly dissolved into white and Yellow and Blue Zircon tumbled to the floor.
The two only had time to exchange a single glance before Blue stood, grabbing Yellow by the wrist and pulling her onto the ship, securing it for take off.
"L-listen...Yellow, you didn't know. you couldn't have done anything." She quietly assured the other, tapping away at the controls.
There was no answer.
"Yellow...?" turning in her seat, Blue's eyes widened a bit. Yellow was sat back against the wall, one hand over her left eye as tears dripped down from the other.
For a moment, quiet sobs were the only thing that could be heard outside of the red ships revving engine. Then Blue stood, her hands pushing up from the control panel. She slowly walked over to Yellow and fell to one knee.
"I wasn't....good enough...and then I went and did...that? We can never...go back now, all because I..."
"Yellow, please. I've lost a lot of cases in my time. You know this better than anyone."
"But...there was so much relying on this..."
She trailed off as Blue rested her forehead on her own, tears going down her face as well now.
"And I'm still in one piece, and I'm still with you."
"But what does that..." Again, Yellow could not finish her sentence, but this time, because Blue had brought their lips together. Gently, and silently.
They simply sat there, not knowing what was to become of them now, but they were clinging to each other in a passionate lip lock as if there was nothing else left for them,
except for each other.
