Chapter three

“You’re early today” Sunny rose her head from the cold table she had been sitting at for the past hour. She rubbed her eyes trying to get her focus. When she got her sight she found Xiumin in front of her. He smiled at her and sat across. “Good morning!” “Morning” “How are you today?” “Okay” “Okay? No good?” she shook her head. “You” “I’m good” “That’s good” “Yeah. Why are you here so early?” “I don’t know. I just wanted to be early I guess” “You seem tired though” “It’s fine” “If you say so” “Why are you here so early” “I don’t like how it gets crowded during breakfast have you noticed?” Sunny nodded her head. “Terrible. That’s why I come early before all the food is gone. Wouldn’t you do the same?” “I would” Sunny covered her hands with the bottom of her sleeves. Xiumin watched her do so, that he let his hand out in front of her. “What?” she said as she looked at him. “Give me your hand” “No” “Give me your hand i’m not gonna do anything bad” “N-no” Xiumin got up and sat beside her. He grabbed hold of one of her hands and placed it between his own. He tried his best to get them warm. “You’re hands are so cold” he said as he looked at her for a moment before looking back at her hand. Sunny kept her eyes on him the whole time as he warmed her hand up. She could feel herself blush that she looked away. “There you go” he said as he let go of her hand. She nodded as she placed her hands in her pocket. “How much longer do we have to stay out here for them to hand out the food already?” he said as he laid his head on the table. Sunny looked at him for a bit before looking ahead as she waited for the line to open. Suddenly her stomach started to growl and Xiumin couldn’t help but laugh. Sunny felt a bit embarrassed but she was hungry. “Why can’t they open already” she said as she looked over. She felt his finger tips on her cheek that she looked at him. He smiled at her as he placed one of her blonde strains behind her ear before he got up. She looked where he was heading and she didn’t realize the doors were already opened. She placed her bag on the table as she went to get in line. “Go first” he said as he stepped aside. “No it’s fine” “No go first” “No you” “Girls go first” “I don’t-” “Go!” he then pushed her to go in front of him and she sighed. She grabbed her breakfast and went back to sit at the table. "Sunny!" she rose her head at the call of her name. It was Tao. He was coming his way over when he spotted Xiumin. Xiumin nodded at him before standing across from her. Sunny watched as Tao placed his bags on the table and went to get breakfast. As soon as he came back, they started talking. "What made you come so early?" Tao asked her. "Right. She's never this early" Xiumin said before eating a small pancake while Tao nodded. "I wanted to come early and I was hungry" "Is that so" "Yes" "Hmmm" Tao said before eating his cereal. "Why are you guys early" Sunny asked. "I have practice in the mornings" "Practice? For what" Xiumin asked. "Oh no not for me" "Then for

who?" "My best friend. Kris" "Oh right. How's he doing?" "Well. He made the team" "Who made the team?" Sunny asked. "Kris aka also known as Wu Fan or well yeah that's all I know that he is called by. But he's tall. Like taller than me a bit. Orange like hair. Seen him around?" Sunny shook her head. "He has kinda like Xiumin’s hair!" "Not fully mine but kinda" "He'll be dying his hair soon blonde so then you might maybe notice him" "Ah okay" Sunny said before eating her breakfast. The rest of that small morning was pretty quiet. Sunny would look up once in awhile waiting for one of them to talk, but neither did. She took a deep breath before speaking. "How was your guy's morning?" she asked them. Tao covered his mouth as he spoke. "Mine was pretty tiring. Waking up early you know. You Xiu" he pointed at Xiumin. Xiumin placed his milk down, "Mine was pretty good actually" "That's good" Sunny said to the both of them. She threw away her trash once the bell rung for first class. "I'll see you guys later. Actually i'll be seeing you in a few minutes. Later" Tao said to Xiumin as he walked off with his bag. Sunny and Xiumin stayed standing waiting. Sunny would glance at him and when he caught her he'd only smile. Sunny would glance away quickly to his smile and felt her cheeks blush bit by bit. When she looked over one last time she saw him let out his hands for her. A hug. She walked over to him to give him a quick hug, but he didn't let her go.
