“Thank you; thank you for making me understand,” Hanna told him as she hugged him. Sean slowly hugged her back. “I didn’t mean to meddle,” he explained. “Please don’t be too kind, you’ll make it harder for me to say goodbye,” Hanna thought as she hugged him.

Hanna was sleeping on the couch when Sean went out to drink water. He went to her, knelt and looked at her. “You like her. Because I am your mother; I have loved you first, even before you were born. I know you, without you knowing it,” Sean remembered what his mother told him. “Do I really like you?” he whispered as he fixed her hair. “I actually like you; I was only fooling myself, saying that I don’t,” Sean thought and kissed her forehead.

“Why are you so industrious?” Debby asked Hanna as she laughed. “Why? Shouldn’t I be?” Hanna asked as she sprinkled water on Debby. “Hey, how about we watch soccer later?” Debby asked Hanna as they sat on the floor. “Huh? Soccer?” Hanna asked. “They have a game later, let’s watch” said Debby.

Hanna and Debby went to the field and sat on the bleachers. “There, there’s Lyndon and Sean,” said Debby as she waved at them. Lyndon saw them and waved back. Sean saw them and saw Hanna looking at him, waving. He looked away and did some stretching. “Why didn’t he tell me they have a game today?” Hanna thought as she watched them play.

“Hey, aren’t you going to eat?” Hanna asked as she prepared dinner. Sean went straight to his room and ignored her. “Awhile ago he’s so warm, now he’s cold again,” said Hanna as she ate by herself. Hanna went to Sean’s room and knocked on his door. “Sean? Why don’t you eat?” she asked him and knocked for a couple of times. “That’s odd, by this time he should’ve opened the door,” Hanna whispered.

Hanna held the door knob and opened the door. “Sean?” she called Sean. She entered Sean’s room and saw him lying on his bed. She saw him catching his breath, “Why’s he catching his breath?” she asked herself as she went near him. “Sean? Are you alright?” she asked him. She felt Sean’s forehead and saw that he was full of cold sweat. “What’s happening to you?” she asked him. Hanna took warm water and wiped his sweats. “What about the breathing? Why are you breathing like this?” Hanna asked as she started to cry.

Hanna watched the doctor as he injected the syringe in to Sean. Hanna can’t help but cry as she watched. The doctor checked his vitals and nodded. He stood up and looked at Hanna crying. He smiled at her, “Don’t worry, after that injection, his breathing will stabilize,” the doctor said. Hanna knelt before Sean as he lied down on his bed. The doctor turned on the humidifier. Hanna held Sean’s hand and placed it on her face as she cried.

The doctor saw Hanna kneeling beside Sean, holding his hand. “Are you okay now? Can you breathe normally now?” Hanna asked him as he slept. “He’s fine now, you don’t have to worry,” the doctor assured her. “Will this happen again? What if this happens again?” Hanna asked him. The doctor smiled at her, “You just have to call me,” he told her and smiled. He bowed lower and felt Hanna’s head. “Stop crying, he’s not going to die,” the doctor assured her. Hanna looked at Sean and stopped crying.

“When he wakes up, do remind him to take his medicines. Cook porridge for him and let him take his medicine and vitamins, is it okay for you to do so?” the doctor asked her. Hanna nodded and held the doctor’s hand, “Thank you, thank you so much for coming. I owe you a lot,” Hanna thanked the doctor.

The doctor went in to his car. He fastened his seatbelt and held the stirring wheel. “Thank you, thank you so much for coming. I owe you a lot,” he remembered Hanna thanking him. He smiled and shook his head. “It’s me who’s supposed to thank you, whoever you are,” he said and drove away.

Sean slowly opened his eyes and saw Hanna lying on the floor, her head resting on his bed. Hanna held Sean’s hand as she slept. He saw the cotton on his forearm and took a deep breath. Sean tried to sit as he held Hanna’s hand. “Please don’t leave,” Hanna said as she moved. Sean removed the hair blocking Hanna’s face using his free hand. Hanna slowly opened her eyes and saw Sean sitting on his bed.

“You’re awake!” Hanna said as she sat up. “Porridge, medicine,” she said as she stood up. Sean grabbed her forearm; Hanna looked at him, “Please calm down,” Sean asked her. Hanna’s eyes became teary and she shook her head. “How can I calm down when I saw how you struggled to breathe, and how the doctor cured you?” Hanna asked him backed as she cried.

Hanna fed Sean and asked him to drink medicine. “Where did you get these?” he asked her. “Just take them, please?” Hanna begged. Sean saw how puffy Hanna’s eyes were; he took the medicines and drank them. “Now, rest well,” said Hanna as she got up. Sean grabbed her forearm and pulled her to him.

Gently, he hugged her. Hanna started to cry again. “At that moment, I thought I was going to lose you,” she told him as she cried. “I thought so too,” he whispered. “But, who did you call?” he asked her. “I took your phone and looked for someone to call and I saw this Doctor Kim in your contacts so I called him. Without another word he came and cured you,” Hanna told him. “You… You called my uncle,” Sean thought.

Hanna closed the door to Sean’s room when her phone rang. “Hello? Oh, yes. Yes, he woke up already. I fed him too and asked him to take his medicines as well,” Hanna said in the phone call. “Yes, he took them all… Okay, noted, goodbye,” said Hanna and then she hanged up. “No extreme physical activities… Soccer?” Hanna whispered and thought.
