“Once, there was girl who loved to look at the stars at the night sky. She would always talk to the stars; asking them to help her, to hear her out. I told her the stars cannot hear her. But then, I realized, she was actually gaining strength and courage from those stars. She finds comfort talking to them, singing to them, and gazing at them. Not only did I see the night sky’s beauty, and the stars’ brightness, but I also understood what it means to wish upon a star, and to believe; all thanks to her.”
“Be good, okay?” Jenny asked Hanna as she fixed her sister’s hair. “I will. Don’t worry about me, I’m old enough to take care of myself,” Hanna answered with a beautiful smile. “I’ll be leaving then,” said Jenny and then hugged her sister tightly. “We’ll see each other soon, you don’t have to hug me this tight,” Hanna told her sister. Jenny closed the door of their condominium unit and looked at the door. Jenny smiled, “Everything will be alright,” she told herself and left.
Hanna sat in their living room and held the locket watch she was wearing. She turned to see the balcony’s view and saw the beautiful night sky. She stood up and went outside the balcony. She smiled as she looked up the sky and appreciated the stars’ beauty.
After looking up at the sky, she looked to her left. She saw someone and looked at him. The guy was also looking up at the night sky. He stopped looking and turned to look at Hanna. He smiled at her. She smiled at him. Together, they smiled at each other and again, they looked at the stars in the night sky.
“Magically, two people fell in love… once upon a star.”
