Shadow's Choice

Shadow came back at the blink of night walking through the cities, he hears echoes of sirens from ambulance and the cops wailing their horns. People cry in agony, and all he could think about was what side to choose. As he walks, he heard noises, almost like a live dinosaur, the only thing that snapped his attention from the usual streets of night. As he walks around the corner, a creature of black smoke was stabbed as the girl was crying, I walked over helping her up, she hugged me with a cry and a scared shiver of the night. Shadow then rushed over, "You?! What are you doing here?!"

I gave him a glare, "Doing my job."

The girl held onto me as then the creature that smoked and made a loud wind noise was swirling like a dark soul in the air. The girl hid behind me as Shadow and I looked up ,"This isn't right, the only time it does this is when a......"

I look at shadow, "Don't. Move."

"Why should I listen to you?!" Shadow said moving facing towards me.

The smokey creature then hits at the spine of Shadow, his face looking nearly life taking, I grabbed him before he hit the ground, the creature....was gone.

I looked at Shadow waving my hands, "You-hoo? How many fingers am I holding up?"

He moves my fingers, "Shut up, What was that thing even?!"

"A darkuma creature," I said as the little girl runs back home quickly, "They are creatures with dark souls, like ghosts with a destiny to multiply in darkness." 

"And yet still.....they fade away....not until now....."A echoed voice of pure darkness called out with a tone of deepness.

I looked over across the street, a silhouette of Sonic was away from the light.

"Sonic?" Shadow said with a confused expression.

"No, Someone close to him, but has a deep killing and blood lust problem," I said pulling my light spear out of the cemented road.

The Sonic Silhouette came out, with blood on his body and a much more darker, yet paler shade of blue. He opens his black eyes with two red pupils, and a creepy yellow sharp teethed grin, "Hello, Whitefang."

"Hello, Exe...." I said angrily, yet calmly and with a serious look of a person, who knows a fight is going on.

"Forgive me, Oh wise one, I just thought I'd drop by," Exe said with a creepy grin walking to them.

I had my spear out, "That isn't always an answer without a catch, is it?"

"Yep," Exe then gets into a fighting stance, and so did I.

Shadow, was just watching, shocked and confused. "Who is this guy; and why does he look like Sonic?" Shadow thought just looking at Exe with the face of aggression.

Then sirens of GUN came around, they circled around us three. An officer yelled, "FREEZE! PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"

Exe looks back at them, the general looked....in interest, "Sonic?"

"WRONG!" Exe said with a creepy grin and laugh and a blink of an eye, he was in front of him about to kill until, I kicked him out of the way. A tussle that was as fast as light and in the air as the general got up and Shadow rushed over, the general was angry, "Shoot them down!"

"She helped you and you're just gonna, shoot them?" Shadow said shocked.

"I don't care! That is the experiment and a killer as Sonic, they both go down dead or alive!" the general said as he then snatches the shoulder walki-talkies from his soldier's shoulder, "ALL UNITES, SHOOT THEM DOWN!!"

Bullets filled the air as, Shadow, unknowingly, used Chaos Control and blocked the bullets with an unknown fire shield of red. Exe and I stopped and looked at Shadow, Exe was more shocked than I was, "A Chapaza....."

"SHADOW!! YOU TRAITOR!!!" The general said as Shadow snapped back into realistic life. Shadow still held the shield up, he was stunned, but now, he basically had no choice.

Shadow thought in his right mind, "One door just closed, now only one way to go..." Shadow then shot the fire shield down to the soldiers and it made a bright light as it blinded even Exe.  Now was my chance, I grabbed Shadow by his wrists and flew off with Shadow as the light slowly fades. Exe yells in anger, "I'll get both of you, and I WILL kill you!!"

Exe fades away as the soldiers looked at Shadow as Shadow looked back at GUN with his normal serious face. The general growls under his breath, "You just caused your permanent stain on GUN, by blood and by law."
