It is the goal of all writers to be recognized and potentially celebrated for what they created. You may get hundreds of thousands of reads or even possibly thousands of followers. You have come a long way with your writing if these are a few of the circumstances that you are experiencing. It is important to congratulate yourself and celebrate your achievements, but it is just as important to remember that you didn't make it to where you are without the help of your readers, your friends and followers.
No one writer on wattpad can ever say that they had singlehandedly secured their status and popularity all on their own. The truth behind this career field is that you are merely a provider and all of your readers are the ones that you are truly depending on. Without them there would be no motivation to keep writing, no one to enjoy your stories and pass them around, or to even recommend you to other readers. In the end you are merely the beginning of the chain that pulls you further along in the writing community.
The best advice that I can give to all writers that are experiencing recognition and popularity is to keep a level head and secure a firm grip on modesty. Don't think that these people worship the ground you walk on or that they will always have nice things to say about your writing. It is severely unrealistic. Keeping an appreciative mentality about your readers and followers will help you to be pleasantly surprised and genuinely grateful for all of the success that your writing could potentially receive. At least, that is what worked for me personally, but everyone is different and has different ways of interpreting situations and I hope that you find the best fit for you personally.
