Continuity

It is very important that your story makes sense in the long run. If you as the author are reading your piece and find yourself to becoming confused by your own story, then there is an element that hasn't been properly explained or isn't necessary to the fulfillment of the story.

The continuity of your story is what makes it memorable to your readers. If they cannot understand the purpose or the linear sequence of the story then they will not be able to appreciate all of the hard work that is being put into your writing.  The sequence of your words and the events you are laying out create the story and draw in the readers.

If you are posting your stories in segments, don't be concerned by readers not initially understanding what your intentions for the story are. They are going on the journey you are laying out for them and will reach their moments of realization at the moment you intend for them to.

You have all the power, just be careful on how you choose to lay things out, so everyone else can potentially begin to see what you are creating for us.
