Human Though I Am

Elevated in thoughts, elevated in theory
What if, can't find, unknowns drive me weary
I am outside my being like a fleet far from home
If I don't attain this now my soul may never roam

And I will surrender to my Ruler

Human though I am

My soles have paved a way in which I intend to dissolve
There is a boiling rising passion I will instill to overflow and evolve
Though fallen and marked in nature from Genesis I bow down
I lay my head first, eyes submitted, in front of your thrown at the end of your gown
Separated as I stand before you like a newborn's severed cord
I stretch out my arms before you and relinquish my dull broken sword
For I am defeated and aggravated beyond a meaning that may not exist
My heart is caged with unheard cries like my entire being has been dismissed
I am angry booming madness the epitome of insane
Like someone plotted against me, stole my soul, and invaded my domain
My spirit is restless, lifted, then thrown into paralysis
Like an incurable disease even assisted with a psychoanalysis
Yet fallen through myself and chosen by wicked hands
I fall face to face with my fate and stride on thorns to the golden sands

And I will surrender to my Ruler

Human though I am
