Chapter Twenty Three |Leaving|

AVERY

"I really wish I didn't have to take you home. I want you to stay with me tonight" Chris pouts

"I know, but maybe we can hang out tomorrow" I say as I look over at him. It felt amazing to know I had him back. I knew things were gonna be different now that we experienced our breakup and all

"Yeah I know. Plus my mom gave me a damn curfew" he said sounding annoyed at the fact

"Awww really" I laugh and lean over to squeeze his cheek

"It's not funny" he says grabbing my face then peck my lips

"I'll see you later" I say as I get out of his car. It was still raining but I just walk through it cause I was already soaked. The door was already unlocked so I let myself in as I watch him drive away once I'm inside the house.

"Mom!" I call for her while slipping off my wet shoes

"I'm upstairs!" She yells back. I lock the door behind me then run up the stairs to her room

"Mom, you won't believe what happened" I said through excitement

"Why are you all wet? Eh take them off" she demanded

"Okay I will, but I wanna tell you about what happened first" I said excitedly

"Avery I'm really tired. I'm sorry, but you'll just have to tell me in the morning" she yawns

"Fine" I said rolling my eyes and leaving her room. I pull this soaked dress off of me as I make my way to my room. I remove everything else then take a nice hot shower. I turn the water on then step in as I grab the bar of soap and wash my body off. I wet my hair as well and then rinse myself off. Once I'm done I get out and wrap a towel around me I go to the sink and brush my teeth. I blow dry my hair just a little then put it in a simple ponytail. I walk out of the bathroom to find something to sleep in. I go to the dresser and grab some shorts and a t-shirt and put them on while checking my phone to see I had a text from Chris saying:

- can't stop thinking about you. I smile as I read it then send him a text back saying
-go to sleep <3

I place my phone on the charger as I turn my light off then climb into bed. Off to sleep I guess.

I wake up from my phone ringing loud in my ear. Who the hell could be calling me earlier than my alarm. I groan in annoyance as I reach to grab my phone. It was Chris calling

"Whaaaaat" I said as I answered the phone. I'm not a morning person

"Damn who pissed in your cereal this morning?" Was the first thing he said

"I'm sorry, baby you just called me unexpected and in the morning. It's not even time for me to wake up yet" I yawn as I sit upward and rub my eyes

"Well it is now. I'll be there to pick you up so be ready" he says then hangs up

I fall back on my bed then seconds after my annoying alarm goes off. I start kicking and punching the air as I throw the cover off me and head to the bathroom

"Chris, are you staying for breakfast this time?" My mom asked with her hands on her hips and a spatula in one of them

"Yes ma'am" I chuckled as I kiss her cheek then sit down on the stool

"Good morning lovely family" David comes in greeting us
