Chapter Twenty Five |Pain That Remains|

AVERY

"Morning, Avery" my mom approaches me. I walked pass her to get to the refrigerator but stop in my tracks

"Good morning, mom" I really just need to work on my act sometimes

"Good morning, momma" Chris comes from behind me and goes to give my mom a huge hug

"See this is how I should be approached" she says getting out of his embrace

"I said good morning..don't push it" I shut the refrigerator door, tossing an apple in my other hand

"Come on now lets start off right. Stop being so grumpy all the time" Chris walks over to my side and pinches me on the cheek. I try with my mom but she's just been on my bad side way too many times

"It's alright Chris. You guys have a good day at school I'm gonna go grab my things" she says then went upstairs. I walk over to my bag that I left hanging on the chair and asked if he was ready to go

"Yeah let's go" he responds. I walk ahead of him to leave out so he could lock the door. He clicks the button on his keys to unlock the Lambo as we both get in. I buckle my seatbelt and just decide to remain quiet the whole ride to school.

CHRIS

"You know after school I have the second part of basketball tryouts. Do you mind staying after or do you want me to take you home first?" I asked Avery as we walked to class

"I don't mind staying" she says in a low voice while shrugging her shoulders. I would ask her what's wrong but it may just be nothing so I'll drop it.

"Hey, Avery can you come sit with me?" Cali takes ahold of Averys hand while pulling her towards her seat. She doesn't even try to resist. She just put up a fake smile and went along. I shake my head then sit over by Ty and Jasmin.

"Wassup" we dap up

"What's wrong now? Why your ex who's your girlfriend again sitting with the girl who wanted to be your girlfriend but now kinda like an ex even though y'all didn't date" he said

"Nigga you could've just said why is Avery sitting over by Cali you're mad extra" I shake my head

"I'm just saying" he smirks then leans back in his seat just for Jasmin to lean over him to speak to me

"Chris doesn't that remind you of when I had a problem with you being cool with Avery? I can't believe I used to think you were cute" she says and laughs after. My heart starts beating so fast as Micheal slowly turns to face me. By his facial expression he wanted to know what she was talking about and I don't even know what the hell just made her say that

"Jasmin stop playing you know I would never mess with you" I briefly laugh and face forward. Ty takes a small breath then sits up in his seat

"Nah, Jas what the hell you talkin' bout cause you told me all the people you ever messed with and his name was never mentioned!"

"Yo this not the place to do this man calm down" I place my hand on his shoulder just for him to knock it off

"And you! Don't tell me to calm down I should have known you were as dirty as her considering the fact you're a cheater yourself" I try to get him to sit and be quiet before he regretted the things that came out his mouth.

"Ty it was never anything serious can you just chill out, please!" Jasmin adds on. By this time the whole class attention was on us.

"Bitch I don't give a fuck who can hear me right now. I bet this whole damn class knew about this shit.. I'm outta here yo!" He walks out and the teacher doesn't even say anything she just watches
