I'm posting the last chapter and this one together because it works better. So this is kinda like a part 2 to the last chapter.

Also, note that everything from now on is gonna be in the third person.

Third person

It was the day after the great ordeal and once again Stacy was sat in her room while her friends sat around her. Only this time there was no humor to their words, just remorse, which Stacy was getting quite sick of.

"When my dad left, my mom didn't shower for two weeks and didn't leave the house for four" Sam said a- matter-of-factly while scooping another spoonful of ice cream out of the tub in her lap.

"Not. Helping. Sam" Alyssa told her through gritted teeth while snatching the spoon out her hand.
"And eating all Stacy's ice cream isn't going to help either" Kara piped up.

"Bite me" Sam replied with a sarcastic smile.

"GUYS! I can't think over your petty bickering! Will you please shut up?" Stacy yelled. She had had enough.

The girls pursed their lips and sat in a somewhat awkward silence. It was lived shortly though because a moment later there was the unmistakable sound of a bass being played in the next room.

It was then joined by a chorus of instruments. Including the Cajon.

Sam's eyebrows knitted into a frown.

"Is he actually being fucking serious?" Stacy cried out.

She stood up with a huff and stomped out the door. The girls sat there for a second looking from one girl to another. As if on cue they all scrambled to their feet running after their furious friend while yelling:

"It's not worth it Stacy!"
"You'll only regret it"
"Fuck him up, Stace!"

Michael sat in his room with his friends next to him. He was still feeling down from the night before. The sounds of his mother whimpering echoing through his mind. His father's drunken slurs reminding him of his failures.

His best friend getting cozy with his mom didn't help the situation either.

But could you blame Michael for feeling this way?

"Look, mate, I know you still angry from yesterday, so I have some news for us all" Luke began to say.
"The school is organizing a talent show, the award for first place is $500 and that could come in really handy for our submissions."

'The submissions' Luke was talking about were submitting songs to Important People. Only thing was that it costs money. Money the band didn't have or couldn't afford to spend.

"Does this talent show have anything to do with a certain solo artist that attends our school?" Ashton asked with a sly grin

"I am hurt to know that you would even think that. Everything I do is for this band and none of you can appreciate that?" Luke replied with a fake hurt look on his face.

"I can't believe that you're still hung up on that, I mean Shawn was pretty good" Calum pointed out with a laugh.

"Okay, now that hurts a whole fucking lot. It makes me feel sick, IT MAKES ME FEEL SICK to know you could say something like that to my glorious face." Luke told his friend although this time his expression was plastered with genuine hurt.

"Touchè"

A cough came from Michael who was across the room.
"Regardless of Luke's motive, he's right and I think it's a good idea."
