Alaina Mahone

No this can't be happening. I can't believe this. How could he be so stupid? If I would've just gone with him, none of this would be happening. Dad and I were on our way to see him at the hospital. The car ride was silent. When we got to the hospital I ran in and asked which room Justin was in. "Are you family?" Asked the lady at the front desk. "No." I said. "Then I'm sorry but you can't see him right now." She said. :I'm his girlfriend! I need to see him." I said raising my voice a little. "Ok. He's in room 109." She said. I ran to the hallway and started looking.

107.

108.

109.

I walked into the room and saw Justin with a broken arm and a broken leg. He saw me and smiled. "Hey." He said. His parents looked at me and waved. "Mom. dad, can Alaina and I talk alone?" He asked. "Yeah." His dad said and then walked out. "I missed you." Justin said. "How could you be so stupid?" I asked, starting to cry. "I'm sorry." He said. "Why did you even go with her?" I asked. "I don't know. I guess I still have a little feelings for her." He said. "This would've never happened if I would've went with you." I said. "I get out of the hospital next week. We can talk then." He said. "Ok. I have to go." I said. I kissed his cheek then left. He still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend? Why would he tell me that? I walked over to dad and we left. "How is he?" Dad asked. "He has a broken arm and a broken leg." I said. "Not too bad." He said. "Not as bad as I thought it would be." I said.

When we got home I ran to my room and just cried into my pillow. Dad knocked on my door. "Alaina? Are you ok?" He asked. "No." I said. "Can you let me in?" He asked. I walked over to the door and opened it then ran back to my bed with my head in my pillow. "What's wrong? Justin's okay. Aren't you happy?" He asked, rubbing my back. I lifted my head up out of my pillow. "He told me he still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend." I said. I put my head back into my pillow and cried. "I'm sorry, honey. You're going to have your heart broken in life. When your mom died, I cried for weeks, months even. I cried so much Uncle Alex and Aunt Kekai had to take care of you but it will get better." He said. He walked out and called someone. I heard Kekai somewhere in the conversation. Aunt Kekai's coming! Maybe she can help me.

I heard the door open and footsteps coming up the stairs. "Hi honey. What's the matter?" Aunt Kekai asked. "It's a long story." I mumbled into my pillow. She shut the door and sat on my bed. "I have time." She said. I told her what happened and she started rubbing my back. "I'm sorry sweetie." She said. "I just don't know what to do. He's getting out of the hospital soon and he said we'll talk then but I don't know if I can date someone who still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend." I said. "I wouldn't either. If your mom was here, she would know exactly what to say. I'll tell you this, the best thing you can do is talk to him, tell him how you feel about the whole situation." She said. "Thanks Aunt Kekai." I said. "No problem sweetie. Anything for you." She said. We hugged then walked downstairs.

If only my mom was here. She could help me.
