Alaina Mahone

I woke up in dad's bedroom. I walked out and saw dad making breakfast. "Good morning." He said. "Good morning." I said. My eyes were still swollen from crying. Dad walked up to me and gave me a hug. "How you feeling today?" He asked. "Okay but I've had better days." I said. "Maybe you should go out with a friend today." Dad said. "Ok." I said. I grabbed my phone and called Diana. (A-Alaina D-Diana)

D- hello love. Long time no see.

A- hey. Do you want to like go to the mall or something today?

D- sure.

A- k I'll see you at 3:00?

D- sounds good to me.

A- see you soon love.

We hung up and I got dressed. I put on some high-waisted shorts and a t-shirt then walked into the bathroom. I brushed my hair and my teeth then walked downstairs. I ate breakfast and by the time I was done it was already 12:00. I sat on the couch and watched TV. I picked up my phone and played Flappy Bird. I looked to see what time it was and it was already 3. I heard the doorbell ring and walked over to the door. I opened the door and hugged her. "Hey, I haven't seen you in so long. What's been going on lately?" She asked. "We'll talk at the mall." I said and we got in we car.

*at the mall*

We sat down in the food court in the mall and talked. "So, what's been going on?" She asked. "Well you know how Justin and I were dating right? Well a few days ago he was going to get food for me and him and when he was waiting for the food he saw his ex-girlfriend and she told him to go to a club with her that was near that place. He said no but she convinced him to go and he went and got drunk. He called me when he was drunk and he decided to drive home himself. He got in a car crash and broke his arm and his leg. I was trying to decide if I should break up with him or not but him going to the hospital just made my decision harder. I decided to break up with him Because he wouldn't have done that if he cared for me a lot. So for the pass few days I've been feeling like crap." I said. I didn't even realize I was crying.

I looked up at Diana and saw she was crying too. "Oh my god. Alaina, I can't believe you had to go through that. That must've been one of the hardest decision you've had to make." She said pulling me into a hug. "It was." I said. We sat back down. "So, how about you?" I asked. "Well nothing has really happened to be honest." She said.

Diana kept on looking behind me but I didn't know why. "What are you looking at?" I asked. "That boy over there. He's looking at you." She said. I looked behind me and she pointed him out. I saw him looking at me smiling. Our eyes locked and he smiled. I turned back to Diana and blushed. "We should get going. It's getting late." I said. She nodded and we walked towards the exit. We walked near the boy and he stopped me. He handed me a piece of paper and said, "Call me sometime." I walked back over to Diana and blushed.

Diana drove me home. We said our goodbyes then she drove away. I walked in, said hi to dad, and walked up to my room. I changed into some sweatpants and a sweatshirt and sat on my bed. I decided to text the boy I saw today. I put the number into my phone.

'Hi' I texted him.

'Is this that pretty girl I saw at the mall today?' He asked.

'Um yeah I guess' I started blushing.

'Cool. My name's Luke by the way.'

'My name's Alaina.'

We ended up talking for hours. I checks the time and saw it was 4 in the morning

'I got to go. Bye.' I said.

'Bye ;)' he said.

I turned off my phone and went to sleep with a smile on my face.
