I am completely and utterly dazed as I walk into the coffee shop this morning. I have all this pent up happiness, and Stefan has brought it out of me. There is this smile on my face, that is permanently carved in, and it's not going away. It's the first smile that's actually pure and honest.
Stefan and I's date was last night. It was one of the best times I have ever had. It sounds crazy, but I have not been exposed to many intimate experiences in my life. This thing we have going on is new and weird, but for some odd reason I like it a lot.
"Kate!" I hear my boss' voice call from the kitchen, when I step behind the counter. "Coming." I reply and make my way towards the large kitchen.
"Yes sir?" He walks over to me and has a folded piece of white paper in his hands. I wonder what it is. I hope I am not fired. I have been to work on time every day.
"A handsome guy came in here," Oh crap. What did Blake want now? I told him to leave me alone. He is so persistent on getting my attention, its quite obnoxious. "told me to give this to you." He finishes and I thank him, while taking the folded message.
I walk away from my boss and unfold the note. Written in messy handwriting is a message. This is not Blake's handwriting what so ever.
Kate, I had a really great time last night. Meet me at the music shop around five. I want to take you up on that offer. -Stefan.
My smile grew even wider, if that was possible. He was so adorable and sweet.
I am going to show him to enjoy music and embrace it. It can really change a person's life. Just sitting down and letting the music vibrate through your body, is so relaxing. It's an amazing feeling.
...
Its around five fifteen and I am driving to the music shop. I wouldn't of been late, if my lazy co-worker, Ken would of helped me carry the coffee beans. I was supposed to get off at four thirty, but that didn't work out. I repeatedly asked Ken help carrying the heavy bag of coffee beans, but he ignored me. I ended up dropping the whole bag on the floor. That got me screamed at and I had to spend thirty minutes cleaning it up.
When I walked out the door of the cafe I was stressed and annoyed. But then I remembered where I was going. I was on my way to see Stefan, and to prove a very valid point. My glum attitude was replaced with a radiant one.
When I get to the music store, I park in one of the last spots. I spot Stefan's motorcycle and start jogging towards the door. I pull open the door and spot a very confused Stefan looking at all the CD's. "Hey Stefan. Sorry I'm late." Stefan jumps a little and drops the CD in his hand. I try to stifle a laugh, but it's no use.
"I'm sorry," I snort and laugh even harder. Stefan is just smirking, I look like a complete fool right now. I bend down and collect the CD Stefan dropped. I scan over the title and read 'Drake'
"And here I thought I was the gangster." I announce while simpering. Stefan shakes his head and smiles with me. "You know, his first album was not that bad, but after the first they just got boring." I state the obvious. Well, to me anyways.
"Really? So, who do you like?" Stefan asks and I am about to give him a full blown list of artists. I will keep it short in simple though. "Well, my number one band is Coldplay. Heard of them?" He has to of heard of them. They're really popular.
Stefan scratches the back of his neck uncomfortably and lets out a shaky sigh. "No." My face falls and I push his shoulder softly. "You're joking?" Stefan crosses his arms over his chest and looks embarrassed. "Okay. Well, we're going to change that. I am buying you all of there albums. Then we will listen to them." I get a flow of courage and grab his hand. I feel him shudder and I look up at Stefan. His eyes are wide and filled with shock.
I don't give off the biggest persona of confidence, and that's going to change too. Stefan molds his hand into mine perfectly and rubs his thumb over the back of my hand. He has only done that twice, but it still feels so great.
"Don't look so shocked!" I instruct. Stefan's loud chuckle fills my ears when I pick up Coldplay's past albums. "That should do it. Come on." I tell him and walk us towards the cashier. I remember that my wallet is laying in the passenger seat in my car. Laying numerous albums on the counter, I let go of Stefan's hand and walk towards the glass door. "I forgot my wallet, I will be right back." I call out to him.
When I come back with my wallet, Stefan is leaning against the shelf with a bag in his hands. "Eh, I thought I would buy them, since you are helping me become, 'hip' " Stefan tells me humorously.
I snort very loudly at his choice of words. "Please don't ever say hip ever again!" I mumble through my giggling. He is absolutely adorable. Stefan has such a strong demeanor and such a stern face, but he is so sweet and charming, completely opposite.
"Are you also going to teach me a new vocabulary?" He sarcastically remarks. I cross my arms over my chest, "Shut up!" I hit his chest softly again. Stefan catches my arm and pulls me close to his chest. His breathing is erratic and mine is the exact same.
His eyes are seeping into mine, so easily, and this moment, right now, is scaring the hell out of me. I have never felt so connected to another person before. I felt this feeling not even twenty-four hours ago, but this time, it is so much more intensified. I know what he is going to do, I can sense it. Truthfully, I can not explain this attraction that is between us.
It is this pull, it is begging me to smash my lips against Stefan's. I want too. No, I need too, but I can't. If I give him this power, I wont have any power left. My dad had a power over me, he still does, and when I left, I took a chunk of that power. I can not just give it away now. I wont.
"I'm sorry." I whisper and bow my head, pulling out of his grasp and rushing out the music store.
(Hi! How are you guys? I am sorry I didn't get a chapter out to you earlier. I have been depressed over Teen Wolf. LOL! I am very annoyed with Jeff Davis, but hey, no one is really dead on Teen Wolf. Have a wonderful day! Love you guys!)
