Zoe and I kissed, and I never experienced anything so amazing before. I'd never dated a girl before, well I'd never really kissed a girl before, except this one weird girl forcibly kissed me in the third grade, but I don't really think that counts.

The kiss was amazing. Of course I had nothing to compare it to, but I'm sure it was very very good compared to other kisses that Zoe had had before. At least I hoped it was. I hoped I wasn't a bad kisser.

I looked at her after we pulled away, not sure what to say. I wasn't sure if I should say sorry, like maybe she hadn't wanted me to kiss her, or if I just wasn't supposed to say anything. Luckily Marcus walked over to us to break the awkward silence.

"This party is great isn't it?" he asked, his speech slurred and his breath smelling of alcohol. He was obviously very drunk. I didn't like to drink though, I didn't really find the appeal in it. Alcohol tasted gross to me anyway.

"Ya, it's great," Zoe said with a brief smile at Marcus before she turned her attention towards me. I hoped this meant that she had enjoyed the kiss, that I had done the right thing. Oh I hoped she didn't hate me for kissing her.

"Really great," I said with an even bigger smile. This was definitely a night I wasn't ever going to forget.

Marcus mumbled a few more inchoerent words to us before he traipsed off to talk to some pretty looking girl I'd never seen before. Zoe then turned her attention back towards me and I again felt the pressure of having to say something.

"Was, that? I mean, was it okay? That like I kissed you and stuff," I said my words falling out of my mouth without a real purpose.

Zoe shot me a sly smile before standing up and speaking. "It was more than okay," she said, her voice sounding silky and smooth.

"Wait, where are you going?" I asked standing up and following her as she walked towards the door. She opened it and I followed her into the hallway.

"I'm really tired, I'm going to bed," she said with another smile.

"Oh," I said dejectedly. I wanted to spend more time with Zoe, but I guess if she was tired it was better that she went off to bed. Just as she was about to turn the corner of the hallway I ran after her saying, "Hey do you want to meet me tomorrow in the breakfast room at 8?"

"I would love to," she said before turning the corner and disappearing into the stairwell. I couldn't help but smile.
