Two Sides of the World { A Zalfie Fanfic }

After a little while I decided that the best thing to do would be to take Zoe back to my place. She had most likely already missed her flight and she could calm down and her for a few more days before flying back to England. 

I got her into a taxi where she promptly fell asleep. I got the cab to take me to the hotel we had had for Vidcon and had them wait outside while I ran upstairs to get all my bags. I then rushed back down to the cab and had the driver take me to my apartment. 

It was difficult getting the sleeping Zoe and all of our luggage inside, but after a few trips I finally made it all the way up the flights of stairs and into my small space. I carried Zoe into my bedroom and tucked her up under my duvet before walking back into the main room. 

It was freezing inside so I turned the heat up and then walked back into my room. Zoe was fast asleep. I kissed her gently on her sweaty forehead and pushed her hair out of her face before grabbing my laptop and charger from my desk and softly shutting the door.

The next morning I woke up and was confused as to why I was sleeping on the couch. I then remembered that Zoe was here, and she was sleeping in my room. I couldn't help but smile widely. I thought she might be thirsty when she woke up so I got a glass of water and quietly as I could placed it on the bedside table near her. 

I then snuck back out of the room and into the living room where I started to make pancakes for myself and Zoe when she woke up. I had a bag of chocolate chips so I added them to the mix for fun. I made a complete mess of my kitchen, but the pancakes turned out really well. 

I had about five then I put the rest in the fridge for when Zoe woke up. She had been sleeping for ages and I really wanted to wake her up to make sure she was okay, but I knew that probably all she wanted to do right now was sleep.

So even though it was really really hard, I restrained myself from waking up and started to edit my Vidcon vlogs. I was so terrible at uploading vlogs, but a lot of the people I had met at my meetups said they loved my vlogs, so I thought I would do it for them. 

After editing for about two hours I finally heard the door of my room opening. Zoe walked out looking quite pale and tired, she still looked beautiful to me though. "Good morning, how did you sleep?" I asked shutting my laptop and turning all my attention towards Zoe. 

"I slept great," she said as she walked over and sat down next to me. She rested her head on my shoulder and I started to run my fingers through her soft hair. She closed her eyes and her breathing calmed down. I knew she wasn't sleeping, but it just felt so nice. I closed my eyes and just savoured the moment.

That was when I realised how wrong I had been before. I loved Zoe so much and would do anything for her, I would go home to England with her.
