I squeezed Alfie's hand tightly as we lifted off into the air to fly back to America. I felt like the start of my new life was beginning. I was saying yes to new opportunities and this one was one I was particularly excited for and nervous for, I knew it would be great though.
"Alfie, I'm so excited," I said leaning my head on his shoulder and taking a deep breath.
"I'm so excited too Zo," he said reaching his fingers into my hair and running them through it gently making my spine erupt in a nice tingling feel.
"I love you," I whispered in his ear. The words just felt right. They rolled off my tongue.
"I love you too," he whispered back as I drifted off to sleep. Everything finally felt right.
