"Mom. Can you say that?" Blue asks gently.
"Ma-ma." The small child replies, poking Blue's cheek. Blue smiles softly.
Yellow smiles as she glides past. She kneels down and pats the child's head.
"Sweetheart." She whispers. The child grins. "Mum!" She cheers as she hugs Yellow's leg.
Blue Circonia and Yellow Circonia have managed to settle down now that they no longer have college to deal with.
So they fell in love, got married and started a family.
They adopted a child, Teal Circonia. She seems to be a lot like Blue; nervous and afraid. Their other child was the opposite. Named Green Circonia, she is more like Yellow; prideful and confident.
Green and Teal get along well enough but are often competing for their parents' affection. Both parents refuse to choose favorites, although both think they have.
Teal likes to think she is Blue's favorite.
Green knows she's Yellow's favorite.
Green pokes Teal and Teal falls over. The two swat at each other. Blue scoops Teal up and soothes her gently. Yellow picks up Green and holds her close.
The two moms smile and laugh.
Yellow kisses Blue's cheek.
The children laugh.
Everyone is happy.
