                              Sabine POV
Longest stakeout ever. I can't believe I had to wait for a whole month for a trade of weaponry. But Ketsu and I got the job done. As I walked in the cockpit on the Shadow Caster, Ketsu asked, "So what do you plan on doing after this job?" I sat down next and answered, "Honestly... I was thinking of hanging out with Ezra." She teased me by nudging my side and said, "Has my sister gone soft for a Jedi?" I only blushed, but I'm pretty sure she got an answer.

After we landed on Yavin, we handed the crates to Rebel Intelligence and I went to The Ghost to talk to Ezra. I looked around the ship. I checked his room, the kitchen, the common room. He was nowhere to be found. I went into the cockpit to ask Hera if she had seen him.

I walked into the cockpit and saw Hera stargazing. I greeted her, "Hey Hera. Have you seen Ezra anywhere?" Hera just got up with tears falling from her eyes and hugged me tightly. I was confused by the embrace and asked, " Hera, are you ok?" She took my hand and said, "Come. I'll take you to Ezra."

We walked outside a couple feet away from The Ghost. We stopped at a tombstone that was surrounded by candles and flowers. I read the most terrible that I could ever hear in my whole life, "Here Lies Ezra Bridger. A Rebel. A Jedi. A Son. A Brother. A Friend. A Student. A Light in Darkness." I fell on my knees and started crying. Hera kneeled next to me and I hugged her tightly. I wiped some tears from my eyes and asked, "Tell me. How did it happen? How did he die?"

Hera POV
"How did he die?" She asked as she saw the tombstone of her friend. I answered her, "He was just standing there. Minding his own business. We finished loading supplies for the Rebellion. It was one of those new stormtroopers. He just smiled at me when we got cargo. Then a shot went through his heart. I carried him to his room and I did the best I could...but it was too late. His last words were 'tell Sabine I loved her.' and he left you this box. The funeral video is also in there." I handed her the box.

Sabine POV
I opened the box and saw two tapes, a walkman, a video camera, and a pair of headphones. I thanked Hera for the box and to my room. As I went into my room, I locked the door, lied down on my bed and put the first in the player. As I hit play, I heard Ezra's voice. "Hey Sabine. It's Ezra. I entrusted Hera in giving you this box incase I died without telling you the whole truth. I'm not sugarcoat it, I'm just going to say it: I love you. I have been in love with you from the moment you took off your helmet in front of me. And I fell more and more in love with you throughout the years. I don't know if you had felt the same. I just have one more thing to say to you Sabine... thank you. Thank you showing me that there was a way The Empire could be stopped. Thank you for being my adoptive family. Thank you for being there for me. After Malachor and after my parents died. I was suicidal for months after both events. But I remembered if that's what my parents or Ahsoka would've wanted me to do to myself. If you wish to know what I truly feel about you, play the next tape or just burn it. I will miss you all so much. You, I'll miss the most. Oh and I'll say hi to my parents for you." As the tape had ended, my heart literally melted. I opened the door and went into the common room. Hera was in there with Chopper. She asked if I was ok, but I just ran to her bursting in tears. I hugged her tightly and she stroked my hair. Even Chopper was sad that he let out a couple of sad sounds and beeps. "It's ok sweetie. He will be missed by everyone." She said trying to calm me down. "I know. My biggest regret is not telling him that I love him too. I hope he heard that."

~An Hour Later~
I sat down in front of his grave. I said trying to hold back the tears, "Hey Ez. I heard your tape. And I wanted to say that...I love you too. I really wish that you had told me sooner. And also you're welcome." And I started singing a part of one of Ezra's favorite songs.

It's been a long day; without you my friend.
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. We've come a long way. From where we began. Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again, when I see you again.
(Someone please tell me they from what song that is)

Kanan walked up behind and said, "He was a one of a kind kid. Wasn't he?" I turned around and said, "Yeah, one of a kind." He added, "I know you don't want to hear it, but the Jedi teach that ones life is never gone but stronger in the afterlife. He will be with you, Sabine. Always."
