Little Mind Game

|| Chapter ~ 5 ||

The clatter of plates around them, made their stomachs growl with delight, and hunger. They had already ordered their food, getting their favorite things. However, at this table only a few sat. The others decided to go to others places to get food, like Weewee and Doonkun Doonuts. Shelby smiled as she looked at her hot chocolate, "So good!" Tommy smiled looking at his coffee, it was pleasant and black, just how he liked it.

Uni drank his coffee, licking his lips, then turning to Nick who sat next to him. "So Nick, how was moving from Virginia?" He asked. "Good. Virginia was nicer, but I like this place too," Nick replied. Dawn looked up from his phone, curious of what they were talking about. When he realized they were talking about moving and such, he began to ignore it, looking back down at his Twitter.

"What about you Dawn? How was moving from California?" Nick asked. Dawn shrugged, "It was alright I guess." Dawn turned his focus back down at the phone, smiling at a comment someone made. Shelby turned to Tommy who was playing with his coffee oddly. "So how's your role plays coming?" She asked smiling. Tommy shrugged, "They're moving along, the Hello Neighbor series always gets the most views though." Shelby began to beam up, smiling brightly from ear to ear. "That's awesome!" She exclaimed. Nick smiled at Tommy, "Yeah it really is Tom!"

The waitress came over, her long black hair tied up with a pink bow in the back. She wore a short purple dress with a white apron wrapped around her waist. She smiled as she placed down the food, "Here you go sweethearts! Enjoy your meal!" They nodded as Shelby said a small thank you in reply. They began eating when Dawn saw a glimpse of a shining light. He looked up from his coffee, peering into the large mirror at the back. There, he not only saw his reflection, but a man tall and thin standing right next to them. He glared at Dawn with red glowing eyes, sneering at his presence.

Dawn quickly whipped his head to the side, finding nothing. He raised a brow, then turned back to his coffee. Uni looked at Dawn, feeling an odd presence around him. Uni knew something was off, but he didn't necessarily care at the moment.

"So Cory, how did you get to buy this house anyway?" Melody asked from the passengers seat. Cory turned to her, thinking about the question, then back at the road. "Well...it was a bit odd," Cory said, thinking about when he first came to the house. "The realtor had said it was here for at least 20 yrs, they hadn't really known. It had 11 bedrooms and one bathroom for three rooms. But there was more downstairs. They went on about the stuff inside, who lived their before and so on. It was a bit boring."

"Did they talk about the history or anything like that?" Melody questioned. She was quite curious about this, and Cory found it odd for her. Cory shrugged, "Well they did say that like the people who lived their before were a couple." Melody's eyes widened, "In that huge house?! Damn." Cory nodded. "Did they have any kids or like family members living with them?" Melody asked. Cory shook his head, "However, they did have one kid living their. A girl, named Shelby."

Melody raised a brow, "You serious?" Cory nodded, "20 years ago they all died in a murder. Except for the child, she pleaded for mercy, but the murderer didn't except. He shot her in the head making her die in an instant." Melody's eyes widened. She shrugged it off then mumbled, "Now that's not creepy at all."
