Finally, after soaring through the beautiful and romantic views of Paris they stopped at Les Invalides, grate monument where the ashes of Napoleon rested overlooking his beloved Paris from the edge of the Seine, it rose from the ground with its white walls crowing a side of the city with the shinning glory of its golden Dome from where the rays of the sun reflected as if it was a mirror that showered the city with golden hope; by the side of this magnificent building the tour bus stopped, they climbed down and went on to take some pictures, Mireya went on to buy some Eiffel Tower key chains that were as a package of 5 per 1 euro.
Mark thought "5 per 1 euro, we'll bounce with someone who sells them cheaper" people who sell to the tourists always sell more expensive when the day started, he believed, so he decided to wait later to get his key chains. They went back into the bus and went on their way running through Paris, Mark was staring out of the window watching the scene daydreaming while Mireya took some pictures of what appeared before them.
The next time the bus stopped and Mark only got to see a few busses by to the right and a wall to the left; then they all left the bus.
"You've any idea where are we?" Mireya asked.
"Weren't you paying attention?" was Mark's clueless reply.
"Not really, where are we?" she asked again.
"I've no idea I wasn't really listening" Mark said and her sister let out a groan "I was busy admiring the beauty of Paris"
"Mm hmm" was her only dry answer, and after a few more steps Mark gasped loudly "Yeah I expected this would be kind of the reaction he would have when we got here" she thought resting on the wall while seeing him standing there with eyes wide open and mouth carelessly open too.
Before them the wall was discontinued, and the ground opened in front them, as their sights move further the grass appeared and brought a green velvet cover to the space, guarded by the perfectly kept cut bushes a land space spread wide from two avenues, guarded by beautiful gardens to each of their side the Champ De Mars magnificently lied before their eyes, the space that was used to train the royal guards and army of the kings of France proudly lied there bringing back the memory of the army formations and glory of the kingdom of France. Almost when the whole gardens ended and the esplanade arrived to the final avenue, Quai Branly, near the Seine river, four metal stakes grew from the ground facing the Pont D'Iena a beautiful bridge with a beauty that resided on the view across from it, because those four metal stakes stretched out to the heavens more and more falling slowly together and as they grew further they came closer and further on elegantly a metal structure created of out the union of those four stakes and rose above to rule the graceful capital of France, the icon of France, the scream of modernism in the city of lights, rising above from the Champs De Mars last garden compound with elegance, near the river Seine it graced the whole Parisian life and it gave, both, the Pont D'Iena and the Champs Du Mars, a reason for tourist to stand there for hours showing a spectacular view that was crowned by the iconic majestic symbol of Paris: La Tour Eiffel.
"Amazing" Mark said.
"I know, right?" was Mireya reply as she took out her camera "Come on, take a picture of me" she said handing him over her camera and moving on to pose in front of the scenario that displayed before them.
"Okay" he said taking the camera and checking through it.
They snapped a few pictures of each other and then went back to the bus, Mark was still bewitched by the view he had a few moments ago of the beautiful tower when they turned away from the glorious structure and headed down the street back to dive into the city's buildings and a few moments later the Panthéon rose suddenly in front of them and Mark felt his heart jump into his chest, the building was breath-taking and slowly he started to get anxious when the bus went to the back where he thought they would stop to go inside and feel the air that was filled with the greatness of all those people that were buried into that piece of art, but the bus kept moving as the tour guide explained who was buried within those magnificent walls, Mark sighed and enjoyed the view of the old yet beautiful Parisian buildings that were before him; the driver took a few turns, he passed through a bridge and crossed the Seine, whose deep turquoise waters washed away the sad past of the city, the bus took another turn and then it appeared, before their eyes: L'Arc De Triomphe.
"and starting on L'Arc De Triomphe, everyone, we have the famous Champs Élysées" the tour guide announced, after hearing this Mark and Mireya looked at each other remembering the pilgrimage they went through the night before to find the oh-so-famous avenue, and after they turned into Champs Élysées it appeared a big, bright, colorful sign that said EXCHANGE, they turned their heads the other way almost synchronized and tried to look to some of the stores that were on the avenue, Mark's eyes were caught by an imposing Louis Vuitton building, then he realized that La Tour Eiffel wasn't on Champs Élysées and that last night's excursion would've been pointless if they moved towards the tower, moments later the tour guide said "Now people look ahead of us and then to your right because there you will be able to see La Place Du La Concorde, further down that street "
The two brothers looked at each other and thought "Been there!" and then they turned to face La Madeleine and around to the Ópera, the tour guide said a few words about L'Academie Du Musique and they kept going, Mark and Mireya gave thanks that they had already been there because the tour was quite fast paced and at that rate they probably would not be able to experience much, but they did managed to be in all of them: La Place du La Concorde, La Madelaine and L'Academie Du Musique or best known as the Parisian Ópera, after a few short turns they went under an bridge and everything got dark for a few moments then just before their eyes, under the blinding rays of the summer sunlight, it materialized, their new destination: Musée De Louvre.
