Time went by and a couple of hours later they woke up slowly, Mark went off bed into the bathroom and Mireya started fixing her hair.
"I hope you are ready" said Mark.
Mireya let out a gasp "Oh my god!"
"What is it?" he replied from the bathroom.
"It's already 6:30 pm!" was her sharp answer.
"She's pissed now, great!" Mark thought as he went to the door "Well we're in Paris, yeah we might have missed the tour but that doesn't mean we have to miss the chance to be there too!" And Mark started studying the Paris map they had handed over to them.
"And how are we supposed to get there?" His sister replied and not giving him a chance to answer she continued "'cause if you're thinking of going there to explore I'm so not gonna be a part of those adventures again! So count me out of that!"
"Fine! Don't come if you don't want to, but I've checked how to get there, it's not like I'll go out exploring, but whatever, I am not gonna waste my time being in Paris by staying on the hotel room whimpering" Mark said as he grabbed his stuff and walked to the door. Behind him he could catch the sound of things clashing together and then he went out the room closing the door softly not looking back. Quickly he arrived at the elevator and heard a soft sound of something sliding on the rug, then the doors opened and he entered then turned to press the lobby button and saw his sister going in and facing away from him. He pressed the button again and grinned slightly.
They took the same way from the hotel to the subway station, walking silently. They went down the stairs bellow the sign that announced the Gallieni station and paid for their tickets, the atmosphere between them was a bit dense still as they walked down to the platform.
Finally when the subway arrived Mark walked in and grabbed a steel pole that was across the entrance, Mireya took a seat next to him in silence, then the doors closed and slowly the subway started picking up speed and went on its way.
The silence between the two brothers was uncomfortable, but it was even more uncomfortable the idea of breaking it off, so they endured it until they arrived to Père Lachaise, where Mark walked out slowly off the subway followed by a silence Mireya with a little panic in her big brown eyes, she wanted to complain on why he simply walked out of the subway but she swallowed her word and changed her mood of that moment of panic, she erased the fear out of her eyes and let room for the annoyance of how she felt just walking behind him without any idea of where to go.
The two of them switched lines and went on the direction Nation, they quickly arrived to the platform just in time to see the subway arrive too, and they got inside a fully packed wagon and were on their way. They both were standing holding on to the pole Mireya was looking down and then looked at her brother's eyes, he wasn't looking back, but he wasn't day dreaming as usual, there was that expression that he used so often when he went on a daredevil mode, the expression that came after doing something audacious and realize he was entirely lost.
On the next platform Mireya looked at her brother scanning the subway map that lied across of them, just in time his eyes apparently found something the doors closed and they were moving, Mireya let out a sigh and looked back at him there was for a brief moment an expression of fright then his face moved on to goofy expression and he let out a giggle.
"Okay, next we're out" he said looking a little bit more determined.
"We went the wrong way, didn't we?" Mireya replied dry, she felt that coming.
