"Hi," Effy frowned at the camera. It wasn't an angry frown. It was sort of sad one. A tired one like her appearance, there were a very bad bags under her eyes, her hair looking like it's been a month since she last brushed it.
What's wrong with her?
Ashton's eyes never left her face, his heart hurt to see her like this, but there's nothing he can do. Leaving her is the best thing he has done or that's what he thought.
Effy's tongue darted out across her bottom lip quickly.
"Do you know that we all have a dark room inside of our mind?"
Ashton's eyes softened as Effy leaned her elbows on her legs.
"It's just that some of us visit that place a lot, and after a while, they won't be able to leave it anymore, like me." She said, voice rising but hardly. "My mind is scaring me these times Ash."
Ashton whimpered as Effy put her face in her hands. Standing up, she walked over to the camera and stared directly into it
"I'm depressed Ashton, I really am and it hurts like hell."
Effy shook her head, looking towards the camera. "I fucking hate myself, no wonder why you left me." She laughed but it wasn't a nice laugh, it was a crazy one, like her movements.
She ran a hand through her hair and finally sat down. "I - miss - you." She let out each word slowly and perfectly. "I fucking miss you Ashton. Do you miss me too? Huh?" A sigh escaped from her lips. "Of course you don't, I'm talking to you as if you're watching this."
Ashton wished so bad that he was there to hold her tightly and kiss her.
